From listening to some reactions you'd think it was at some point a competitive fight.

Said it before, Joshua still looks clumsy at range and better movers are making that more pronounced. Up close is where he's different gravy.

Credit to Takam, he gave the account of himself that everyone expected. Poor stoppage. It keeps the perfect record going I suppose but the extra few minutes might have been more beneficial to Joshua.

That was disappointing, they dropped Vegas and dismissed it in the same wind. But this is all talking it up right now. Honestly and said it before it's Wilders move to make and frankly needs it more imo. AJ has options and I'd like to see Wilder buy a ticket to tonight's fight and enter the ring post fight given how much he talks.

Dillian Whyte did a decent job of stumbling through Helenius. The bloke needs to get with the program and fucking quick. What once looked like a nigh on bomb proof beard is now being chipped away at by the likes of Chisora and Helenius. He is literally training any opportunity for success out of himself.

If he gets the Wilder fight, on that evidence, he gets sparked out again.

I'm not convinced on Joshua. I think Wilder, though flawed, has all the tools to beat Joshua. I can see him busier, causing problems with how big he is, and on the way gassing Joshua out. He will need to smart an intelligent fight though. I think Joshua so far has shown the better intelligence and poise, but I can see Wilder coming out on top. He has to avoid the UK though as you cannot risk these kinds of stoppages. Unfortunately the UK has become known for its stoppages like Vegas has for its decisions. It makes you wonder what the point of a prediction contest is as the judges and refs end up manipulating all too many outcomes these days.

Joshua seems to have the tools, but he seemed pretty gassed even though he wasn’t that busy. That may get to him eventually. It almost got to him with Wlad. After this fight I see that Joshua is legit but he needs to prove a lot more to become great.

I wasn't overly impressed by AJ last night, he was too bulky and he suffered for it, if he fights Wilder he wants to come in lighter than that.

Before the fight I didn't think Wilder had a chance, now I think it would be a really really interesting fight.

Bullshit stoppage, the ref wanted the quacks to stop it for the cut and in the tenth you could actually see his bum hole twitching when he realised that there was a very real possibility that Takam could survive 12 rounds 'Sorry Takam, not on my watch, I can't be the referee to let AJ go 12' as some one said on here (think it could have been Primo) if the argument was that Takam couldn't win and he was getting beat up then why not stop the fight in the 8th round? or the 7th? If Wilder takes the fight in England then he is a fucking fool, he will need to bludgeon AJ half to death in every single round just to make it competitive on the cards.

absolute massive credit to Takam, 12 days notice and he didn't want to stop for a second.

One final thing, I've said before that there is something about AJ that I just really don't like, that the way he speaks is too scripted, the media training is all too clear, I think that last night he came across as a right big headed bastard. and I still don't like him, it will only get worse as well.

In the ring I don't mind him at all, I enjoy watching his fights and I do support him because its good for the HW division to have a star like him, its just him that I don't like the bloke.

Weak Chin? Did you see what happened to Eddie Chambers when Wlad hit him flush? He was asleep. AJ got off the floor and beat him 5 rounds later! He just leaves his chin open and does have very suspect stamina. Needs to get that jab working too.

Mabe not Khan like or anything like that, but he is hardly James Toney or Ali when it comes to chins. In the last two he has looked a bit chinny with stamina problems to me. I think that plays into Wilders strengths. Wlad was so old in that fight and off a layoff and loss and this was very patchy. I would still like to see James Toney come back and sort them all out.

I reckon his chin is pretty tough. You could say Wilder's chin is weak, because he got wobbled in one of his recent fights, and he's got chicken legs. That would be just as ludicrous.
With the heavies, they're all getting hit hard by massive blokes. They can all be KO'd.
I believe fitness is a lot to do wth recovery from getting clobbered (e.g. Froch) , and I believe AJ has to come in much lighter and therefore fitter than he did last night.

I just think Wilder hits very hard and that Joshua might not be able to sustain a pace or handle a non gun shy power puncher. Wlad was very old and he managed to take most of the middle portion of the last fight after a very long lay off. Then with this showing I just think Joshua is a bit overhyped. Wlad does hit very hard, so Joshua can definitely handle a situation like that, but I am not convinced he can handle output + power together with the size of Wilder too. It will be an interesting fight should it ever happen.

Gotta admit that was like watching Bruno at times.
AJ looked slow, rigid and tight with that extra weight.
Speed is power and AJ didn't look anywhere near as fast as he was 18 months ago.
McCracken must realise he needs to be leaner and faster against someone like Wilder or Fury.
Takam was a warrior and showed a huge heart.

Agree with all of that. It's crazy really, the 2 best HW's on the planet, and there are big question marks about both of them skill set wise.
I have a sneaky feeling that if these 2 ever meet, it will be a very boring anti-climax of a fight.
Joshua isn't ring savvy enough to adapt to different things that happen in the middle of a fight, and Wilder isn't patient enough to develop a prolonged attack without turning into a human windmill.
I reckon this, along with respect for each other's power, could result in a bit of a Mexican stand off for long parts of the fight.
Final note, credit to Takam, he BOXED beautifully last night . He looked in shape, movement was great, countered well and showed heart. It's a shame that :
A. He didn't see the final bell as he deserved, and
B. That size means everything.
