Honestly im not a fan of the idea..Not that it affects me in any way shape or form...

But to make it a state of the us seems that it would make puerto rico loose some of its identity..

Fair play when you from a certain state then you are proud of your state and thats your home..

But changing from a proud nation to just another state just doesnt seem right..

There are alot of poor families over there who are all going to be eliagble for welfare at the same time. It is a huge finanical burden on the United States if they become a state.

And you also have a lot of democratic votes which is something we don't need...
