Don't really agree with everyone saying Pavlik... He'd have one hell of a year if he does beat Taylor, but Id definetly give the edge to the winner of Mosley vs Cotto, that'd be wins over Collazo and Cotto or Judah and Mosley.... Mayweather should be the frontrunner assuming he beats Hatton. Any other year and PAvlik would deserve it for wins over Miranda and Taylor.

Both Donaire and Pavlik won covincingly and shocked the boxing world this year. They're 2 of my top 5 in 07 FrOTY race.

Totally disagree. Wins over Taylor who is P4P and Miranda who was a dangerous fighter at the time are more impressive than beating Baldo and Oscar.

He knocked out undefeated Jorge Solis. That and maybe a knockout victory in a war (foty?) with MAB might get him up there in the running. I don't think he'd get by the winner of mayweather/hatton though. My guess is that whoever wins that will be the man here, regardless of any other outcomes.

Well by the end of the year Mayweather would have beaten Hatton as well.. and remember whoever wins the Cotto Mosley fight will have had one hell of a year too, that I'd put on par with Pavliks.

If Floyd wins it will be on the back of a Hatton win as well.

Imo beating Oscar and Hatton is far better than beating Miranda (whose not even world class let alone p4p) and Taylor who has sucked balls in his last few fights and is there for the taking.

I don't think Floyd will get it though. He's too gifted and therefore not popular enough. Pavlik will probably get it if he beats Taylor although Oscar and Hatton is a better resume.

Miranda has had a good year and is world class for sure in my opinion, he's still pretty green and he beat Allen Green, A still good Howard Eastman, and he got pretty much robbed against Arthur Abraham, another top Middleweight. Miranda is no good, if Pavlik beats Taylor well yu can't deny just how big that is, it's certainly fighter of the year stuff. Hatton won it in 2005 by beating Kostya Tszyu, Ray Oliveira and Carlos Maussa, Pavlik's credentials are better than that if he beats Taylor.
Remember the good old days, we miss you Marco!

CC Dan,my point exactly. And not just that but Pavlik is fighting the lineal champ too. And Miranda maybe nothing now but apart from the few hardcore Kelly fans, most here chose Miranda to KTFO him out. And Miranda,as you stated, gave Abraham a whooping. So to imply as if Miranda has become a bum overnight is silly. He's done more at 160 than Oscar at 154 and is a better fighter than Baldo full stop. Vernon looked better than Floyd v Baldo.
