given the miracle he wins, in no way is he done with 154, he still needs to CLEARLY beat Trout, there's Angulo (who'll just quit again but hey that's ok), Lara, Cotto, Martirosyan/Andrade winner, Molina/Smith winner to unify all the titles, and then he can think about going up and seeing if Martinez is even gonna be available and healed up from his knee injury and surgery, he could go in against the GGG/Stevens winner, Pirog is coming back, or he can make bank by fight Mr. Silver Spoon himself in Chavez JR, seeing how the pothead one isn't growing a pair and moving up to 168

Cotto? Alvarez would take the fight. Cuz it's an easy money fight. But lets be realistic. Cotto had a chance to twice fight Alvarez and said no. He'll duck him a 3rd time

I think Cotto/Martinez is set to be announced. Just a hunch. If he loses tonight that's not a bad comeback. He could make that fight even if he wins.

If it does than Martinez is taking it easy in his first fight. Cotto struggled to be competitive against Trout. He'll be less competitive against Martinez

They will make it a catch. Martinez looks.. rather rapidly as worn out as Cotto is and is not a big middleweight. If Alvarez pulls this off a rematch with Floyd is a given so we will have to wait and see.

Martinez is not a big middelweight. His last opponents have been much bigger than him. Martinez is not the same fighter since the Chavez fight. He can't keep the stronger opponents off him like before. He won't have that problem against a much smaller Cotto

Jesus Christ. Anyway he's not a big middle and weighs about the same as Alavarez on fight night. I dont give a fuck what he does ok? I simply said what I think are his options and a catch weight fight with the winner of Martinez/Cotto should it materialize would be one of them regardless of fucking weight. They are the same fucking size. That is him and Martinez. Fighting Cotto would be like fighting a smaller version of himself.

hahahaha you're so full of shit! yea i'm sure Martinez is ruined from schooling Chavez for 11 of the 12 rounds, then Chavez dropped him and still wasn't able to finish a one handed one legged nearly 40 yr old fighter who was about 20 lbs lighter than him, big props to the guy lol if you're gonna try to say someone "ruined" Martinez that would go to Macklin who all around gave him a tougher fight than Chavez ever did and Martinez originally injured his knee in that fight, but nice try to build up the silver spooned one, there's a reason he hasn't fought since and now the Mexican equivalent to Moby Dick is taking on a Pretender of all people and the fight isn't a sure win for him by any means lol
