Benn, Eubank and Toney were trash-talking eachother, with Mickey Rourke just laughing his ass off in the background.
although i didn't think toneys coments were called for, i like the interview, and would love to see it again
I'd like to see it too.Originally Posted by nuclear bull
On the Watson Eubank fight, it is one of my first boxing memories (along with Eubank against Benn and Dan Sherry). I was only 8 at the time, but I remember being a Eubank fan while the rest of my family hated him, they thought he was arrogant, I was young and found him funny.
It was way past my bedtime, and by the tenth round I was sent to bed by my mum as we all thought that Watson was winning comfortably (though I can't remember much details of the fight itself), than waking up the next morning to hear the terrible news.
After thinking about it I would like to see it again sometime. Watson is not given enough credit for his career in the ring which was good and had the potential to be great as he was hitting his prime, he'd beaten Benn (and probably Eubank as well in their first fight) while both were at their best. Yet we don't hear half as much about him when we discuss the supermiddleweight greats, and the casual sports fans only know him as the guy Eubank damaged.
Watson showed against Don Lee that he was a world-class fighter, when nobody gave him a chance. Watson was only a late substitute against Lee too, Bomber Graham was supposed to be fighting him in a WBA world title eliminator bout.
