Toney is funny, and occasionaly you get overtones of a nice guy in his interviews, he's a character, but your right he's an asshole. Mayorga is just a straight dick.
Remember the good old days, we miss you Marco!

bad characters bring the sport down

look at tyson, he loved his reputation but it cost the sport.

im not sayin boxers shud all be hunky dory, after all its about wat happens inside the ring that counts but it is nice to see a bit of sportsmanship in there aswel.

Hmm, Sonny Liston was a big asshole. Hagler was a public relations nightmare. People hated Muhammed Ali, and we know how much he brought the sport down. Bad attitudes aren't going to bring the sport down. If that were true there would be no American football.

Peoples problems with Ali though weren't associated with boxing so they wouldn't bring the sport down.

What im tryna say with Tyson is that he is the only boxer to be diqualified from a world championship fight by biteing someones ear! How does that sound.

I dont realy know much about your football cos im British but if boxing was as big as American Football, people wouldnt scrutinise it so much. They would see incidents as only isolated incidents.

Plain and Simple... People should stop the hate on Floyd Mayweather. He is currently the best P4P, maybe even the best all around fighter in the sport of boxing! I have nothing against the guy. I think he does a great job.

PBF is the man... as far as boxing is concerned. But don't worry, everyone in boxing gets beat and if they happen to have a fat mouth, it'll make them look even worse, ask RJJ.

dont know about you guys but i dont think boxing would be the same without trash talking. i'm pretty sure 9 out of 10 boxers respect each other but what is the point in showing respect to someone then beating the living shite outta him. save the respect till after the fight

i think floyds a wanker cos its just too much about the money for him. hes always chasing the dollar signs and that means him acting like a fanny to try and sell tickets. look at the gatti fight (not really much of a fight though was it), before he was bad mouthing and trash talking and all that usual bollocks. then after the fight he took it all back and said it was just to sell tickets. that just says to me that the bloke is full of shit, and doesnt get my respect in that sense. but i respect him as a fighter cos he's awesome. but he's still a wanker.

You have to really pick your spots to be mean and not, ODH looks like a prude when he's shocked Mayorga or Vargas would say something mean...I like Oscar but drop the act!

James Toney is a straight up SHIT TALKER he hasn't done jack in the heavyweight division...I loved hearing him talk shit about RJ and then get it handed to him in that fight. You'd think with how fat he is he'd be chewing more and talking less but apprently he lives in topsy turvy world where talking doesn't burn but adds calories.

Prince Naz was a dick and John Ruiz and Valuev are just horrid fighters
