    If you say so.....
this the dumb shat that topic is urging people to stop doing...

when floyd got to 140..hatton hadn't done shat..he had only recently beat Kt before the gatti fight so obviously he was already signed to fight gatti before hatton proved himself worthy..and floyd had already beat brussles before hatton beat KT...

and if floyd would have beat the hell out of baldomir...you'd be saying well he didn't beat judah, and judah's the best because he had an off night...then demand he fight judah...

so with idiot like you who can't admit you don't like him and no matter what he does you will have something to say...

Ray leonards punk ass ran from pryor...and so did hearns because pryor beat him for the golden gloves titles so he didn't want to fight him as a pro...and neither of them fought mike macallum....

every fighter in the history can be critized for not fighting someone...that shit has lost its weight because its not even a legitimate knock anymore..it's impossible for fighters to fighter everybody nowadays..so come with something legitamate to criticize him with...

The only negative against this kid is, he DID lose the first Castillo fight.
floyd is undefeated..period...so you think he lost...the judges thought otherwise...

He's NOT a Leonard, or a Hearns, or a Hagler... he's just a very shrewd, very excellent boxer who has made a name for himself by taking the easiest road possible towards greatness. Now there's nothing wrong with that really, it's just hard for him to tout his "legacy" while doing it. If he buckles down and starts cleaning out a division, or starts fighting the people he knows he should, then he can silence all doubts and become "one of the greats." Until then, I'm just not going to be completely sold.

Genius points, absolute genius!!!!CC He started off his career in spectacular fashion but what has happened since then Jonesjunior....you ask what had Hatton done@140.....well what had Brusseles done? and Starr,to say Baldomir is the best at 147 is weak ass hating on Margarito, who EVERY mag and RESPEcTED/KNOWLEDGEABLE writer recognises as the best WW(no2 to Floyd now). If Baldomir himself says that Margarito is very powerful and he would not fight him(this after he sparred with him),calling him the best WW really does look meek, poor and is a further example of you letting personal opinion cloud judgement and no...I don' care about alphabet soup titles....

The thread title is weak simply because no-one is hating on Floyd....everyone just wants to see him fight dangerous people and in that aspect,Starr makes a good point.....he did not fight Casamayor,Spadafora,Dorin etc and his lack of quality opposition in the last 3(or is it 4 years)is a cause for concern.

Having said that,he is immensly talented, and that is 1 of the reasons I love watching the guy fight BUT I want to see him fight dangerous fighters, that is all and if P4P was based solely on talent,he would be number 1 by a country mile....but it's not just that which is why I have Winkus Maximus as number 1

Yo The Game, did someone seriously say what has Hatton done at 140lbs.?

That is an extremely ignorant statement. Well, he made "THE MAN" Tszyu quit on his stool and he unified two titles taking on awkward and rugged Carlos Maussa. All this while being 40-0 at 140lbs.

Interested to see Hatton this weekend. He cuts easily, so that just gets to me, because in America they just won't have the respect for him to keep fighting with a nasty gash on his face. Across the pond, they let him get away with some ugly cuts. Over here in the States, we are total wimps when it comes to stopping fights based on cuts. I've seen some premature stoppages here in U.S. that I thought were horrible. I don't think they will be fair over here in U.S.

Hatton should win this fight that is coming up this weekend. I just wish Hatton never cut.

And man am I out of it!!! Can't even think!!! I'm talking like a robot here!

LOL,cc bro for staying awake, typing AND making sense!!!! Awesome stuff ! Yeah,I agree on the cuts issue,it could hinder him but it does not occur in every fight and as long as it is not serious enough to end the fight,a bit of blood will only make him look more warrior like,I remember Arce against Hussein Hussein(what a fight?!) and Arce looked cool with all that blood on his face but still coming out victorius,I remember the commentator's mentio0ning it!

I tell you man, after EM PAC, I was on a Boxing High!!! The drive back home was so... so .. wonderful. hahaha Can't think of another name for it. But I drove to Vegas thinking Erik was the underdog to bet on and left knowing my favorite fighter proved all the naysayers wrong. Great Night. Seen Erik fight Carlos Famosa Hernandez, Pacquiao I, and Barrera III.

As much as these guys love Mayweather, I doubt any of them paid over $200 for a seat and drove over 8 hours to see a Mayweather fight. heheh And I did this drive 3 times, with each time having a great night.

And the coca, heheh, I just never seen a fighter with that kind of look on his bloody face. Arce acted like the blood heightened his aggression, it was crazy-nuts!

Yeah, EM made it easy for any fan. He had so many historic fights that people just don't even know. heh If that makes sense. I think he said it best, that expectations for EM had always been high.

If I get a nice job soon, I may try to make it to Castillo Corrales III. Now this is one I'm not big on, because I think Diego will lose, but one of my buddies wants to go, so I wouldn't mind going to that one just to meet all the boxers and press and Diego just might pull something off that night and the fight will be exciting no matter what.

But there haven't been any fights I want to go to soon.
Fights that just say,"YOUR GONNA MISS A CLASSIC NIGHT!" A Morales fight was always special man. You and I know this, he's the only Mexican Star to match Julio Cesar Chavez three division champ record. Marco doesn't count because Chavez never cared about the WBO back then. I'm not Mexican, but on a Morales fight, I always was. The crowd goes CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZZZYY!!!! On Fight Night.

If I were a Barrera fan or Juarez fan, I'd go to Vegas to see that. Juarez will make it a fight. BTW Barrera will choose to box over a fight any day. Never liked how Barrera milked Morales wins for long lengths of time and went on his slow methodical fights against low low competition, while Erik always tried to make history and always seemed to fall short of TOTAL RESPECT in the boxing world. And by respect I mean # 1 pound for pound.

pbf is a great boxer. nothing else about his style attracts me to watch him fight. he's fast but he doesn't put on combos like dlh and punch like zab or maryoga. to me, he's in the same category as winky, bernard...

Agreed. Most of the time he breaks down a fighter using his smarts, speed, and athletic foot movement. He does get overly cautious at times. I've seen Mayweather go for the kill though. But only when it's ready to be taken. People who love Winkster, Late Bernard, or a Floyd Mayweather won't drive 8 hours, buy $250 seats and come home driving knowing they saw a classic night. heheh I'm sorry, but I just think a real fight fans will pay a hefty sum and sacrafice much to see a REAL FIGHT and not defensive wizardry. Although Hopkins does trick many in his tough prison talk ways, that he will make it a WAR, but in the end he never really delivers on his WAR FIGHTS nowadays. Winky, the best defensive fighter in the game, is just too damn good that he's too boring to even think about going to Vegas to watch him. I can imagine the crowd's electricity,"OHH DAMN LOOK AT THAT DEFENSE!" heheh

A defensive fighter, IMO, will always be jealous of what an offensive fighter can do to a crowd of 15,000 screaming-roaring fans.

No one can deny his ability!

The reason why it took so long for him to become PPV and why people talk bad about him is because his attitude is all wrong. Cocky and arrogant

If he composed himself like Ricky he would be more popular and a bigger draw than he his now

I've thought about that too, but I'm not sold on that right now as of yet.
Although Floyd is known to hate the press.

And just like Roy it's his attitude that is annoying....Floyd is just to smug for his own good.....I respect him for his boxing skill's but he need's to keep his mouth shut once in a while...Pretty much ( no pun intended ) since HIS public claims of being better than Ray Robinson EVER was turned me into a hater...Ray accomplished and fought tougher fighters than PBF could imagine...Compare resumes....
