Yeah but only if Collazo blows him out. Hatton's fanbase + Floyd's will sell out any arena any day of the night.

About as much as I wan't to see Mayweather vs. Sharmba Mitchell 2, Im afaid to say. And don't act like im hating on Hatton, im just not British and I had only seen one fight of his where I didn't like his tactics.. Now in this fight he couldn't use them, and imo that was part of why he looked terrible.. The other part was the speed and he can't make it at 147, like it or not that's where PBF is, Hatton would be best to stay away from this and PBF may not even bother with the fight anymore. That was a terrible performance by Hatton. im sorry.

Corrales is tall enough to move up to welterweight although his chin may be too weak at the higher weight. If Hatton moves down to 140 lbs. again, either Corrales or Castillo would be an excellent opponent at that weight.
I agree with the majority of this post.

I actually want to see Hatton vs Gatti more than anything now. Then let him face Floyd...but I still say that he's gonna lose.

You stop & you look at the fighters that Floyd has beaten...the big names...& he's totally destroyed them...really. He gave Castillo hell & Castillo's a big boy. He recked Corrales...just wrecked him. He totally decimated Gatti. We all know to well what he did with Judah & that in itslef was damned impressive.

Now I know that people have to have high hopes & this & that...but Floyd has taken on all comers that are worthy (don't anyone say Margarito ) & he has outperformed them. Floyd is not God & no man is an Island...but Floyd could go down as an undefeated as it stands right now...because after seeing Hatton Collazo...I just don't entertain the notion that Hatton could beat Floyd now...& I used to think that he was a candidate for that job.

I'm on your side. I gotta agree that Hatton doesn't have the boxing skills to deal with Mayweather...honestly...I'd have to question his durability also after seeing Collazo stun him as often as he did.

Honestly...I want to see Hatton Collazo II before I see any of the names that Hatton has expressed interest in.

Collazo gave a damned fine showing of himself.

I do still want to see this fight. Boxing skills aside, Hatton makes exciting fights. He's always coming forward so his fights are rarely boring.

Plus I'd like to see how creative all the Hatton fans here can be when it comes time to get excuses for that loss!

But gate sales are only a small fraction of the purse--PPV buys are what drives this, and the US, being much bigger than the UK, is where the large majority of the potential PPV market resides. And Hatton only diminished his PPV interest in the states with Saturday's performance. He went from being a relative unknown here to being seen by most (fairly or not) as an overhyped guy who's had soft competition to camouflage his mediocrity.

Dead on. I mean just think about what this fight was, for Hatton... His chance to showcase his stuff in the states. There were alot of people who saw this fight who had never seen Hatton before, Id bet most.. And he showed nothing.

Hatton did NOT diminish his ability to sell here in the States. I am from the states and I know people in the states want to see.

They do NOT want to see a boxer like PBF.. They want to see a guy who is gonna be right there ALL NIGHT LONG.

You dont understand that I believe that his fan base here sure did grow.

Everybody I know is talking about Hatton and his great heart and the way he's in your face all night long.

All through my neighborhood people are saying he is a real fighter and not a pu$$y. In the U.S Warriors sell not boxers.......

Explain why PBF/Judah (slick boxer vs. slick boxer) sold more than PBF/Gatti (slick boxer vs. "warrior") then. I'm from the states too, and I'd much rather watch someone with skills that lands nice, clean shots than someone who bulls his way in, holds a lot, and ultimately squeaks by mediocre opposition. "Heart" is nice and all, but if you're good enough you shouldn't need it to barely get by a middling opponent.

To the first guy, Gatti and PBF didnt sell because everybody knew that Gatti has no buisness being in there with PBF.

Just like Gatti/Hatton will sell more then PBF/Hatton.....you see?

Two sluggers will sell more then 2 boxers ALL DAY LONG.

We talk about these things all day long. Only Trainers want to see Boxers....

So PBF/Hatton won't sell as much as Gatti/Hatton because everybody knows that Hatton has no business being in there with PBF?

I guess maybe we agree then.

Hatton needs to fight Collazo again because the first fight was questionable. He's saying this and that about PBF, and PBF talks a lot, but PBF treats boxing with respect, he gave Castillo a rematch directly after a close call. I don't want to see Hatton vs Floyd anymore until Hatton gives better performances in the US. The one thing that I don't like about Hatton is that he doesn't seem to make adjustments. Hatton didn't adjust against Collazo, he didn't move his head more, he didn't throw coming in, he didn't do enough to take a champion's belt, and if some no name gave that same performance, Collazo would have won on points. If Hatton beats Collazo again, I'd like to see him fight either Gatti or Cotto. Those would be pretty good fights.
