See, when Naz did that kind of thing there was always a plan behind it. Sounds like with Khan he didn't have a plan other then to look spectacular etc.... he keeps talking and overhyping himself he will be back to reality really quick, he's begging to get knocked down, hope it happens so he can sharpen up.

I don't think Zmir was being serious just a tongue in cheek comment. I'm sure everyone here has said stuff like that, e.g get all dressed up for a night out and say something like 'Right lets go show this town what we're all about!' or goddam I'm looking good tonight!

It doesn't really mean you think Scarlet Johannson is about to swoon at your feet :P

Regarding his performace tonight though he really needs to tighten up his defense. I think a compact tidy fighter whit a good defense and clever will give him problems.

Kevin Mitchell would beat him right now I think.

There's a reason why title fights are 12 rounds! But I think that Khan was just messing and didn't expect people to actually take it seriously. But to be fair, if I was Khan or his trainer or manager, you could do a lot worse than going and sparring with PBF for a while. Give's you a glimpse at what it takes to be a world champ at what its like at the top of the mountain. Also PBF is an absolute professional when it comes to his pre-fight prep/training, and hopefully that would rub off on Khan.

Given how I'm hearing Khan looked, and given how the comment sounded, he is getting too overconfident in himself.

"You are forever the worst until you beat the best."

That is some humble advice he should follow.

He show boated once or twice but he didn't look like a clown the Naz and he wasn't disrespectful like Naz... was more of a SRL type of thing...

I think getting knocked down (not out) would do the lad the world of good... Barry Mcguinin keeps telling him to keep his gloves up but he won't fecking listen to him.. he got caught today because he either went for stupid shots or because his gloves weren't there.

Naz had reason behind his showboating to set up easier shots to get his opponent to lead. Khan just seems to have been showboating for the sake of showboating and got caught.

But that is the point of these fights. People don't seem to understand he is a BOY. He looks to have massive potential, the only problem is he is loved way to freaking much. Most boxers at that age are just allowed to get in the ring, do what they have to do and get out in front of a half-full arena.

Khan on the other hand, every round he fights people treat as if its a world championship round, so you can surly see why hes starting to act the way he is acting, and starting to do the things he done tonight.

Personally, i think the best thing for his fights to be in the USA for the next couple of years. Let him learn to fight without all the freaking hype around him, let him learn to fight without a packed arena screaming him on like their lives depended on it. Let the boy develop into a man.

I think if warren sent him out there now, he could have a tittle by the time hes 22, and be ready for PBF by the time hes 23-24

    Just my 2 cents anyhow

There was no method to Naz's showboating. In fact, he more often than not got clocked when he dropped his hands and ended up looking like an idiot, most notably against Barrera.

Naz flattered to deceive and it's laughable to suggest there was any plan behind his clowning.

Naz was a cock, sorry nicest way i can describe him. His first fight he got in the ring, doing flips around the ring, showboating during the fight, the after stopping the guy started doing flips around the ring again.

I'm sorry but he came to the ring in that first fight acting like a cock and carried on being one through his carer, and after whats happend the last couple of days with him, seems he's just as big a cock outside the ring as he was in it.

I personally hope he never EVER gets in a ring again, he stands for everything a boxer, an athlete and person shouldn't be! he was a bad loser and an even worse winner

No, but it's the perfect example of a fighter utterly out of his deoth. The Kelley fighter a better example for you?

What else can he be judged on? past it ex Europian champs and other over hyped fighters. You give him far to much credit Starr. Who has he beat who still made something of them selfs?

Guys like MAB etc have beaten and been beaten by loads of guys who have went on to win loads of real belts against proper fighters. If Naz fought some one they where usually on the way out or overhyped and his team new it... They payed 'The Mirror' etc loads of money to get british fight fans interested in him and thats where most of his hype and rep came from.

Fuck, they only let him fought MAB because MAB wasn't a legent at that point, he'd just lost to Morales and fought 3 decent fighters... his team didn't think it was a risk like all his other fights.

How can you say that? He excepted his first defeat very very gracefully and didn't mke no excuse. if anything he excepted that defeat better then anyone thought he would.

for 10 minutes after the bout maybe... look what its done to him... he struggled to knock some bum out and then didn't want it any more.

Look at all the guys he beat after he got his WBO title or what ever it was... just checked 5 at random and all of them went on to loose at least a further 6 fights and few were 'luck'y enough to challenge for an NABF belt or some peice of trash.
