Agreed...but again...as I always say...people base what Hopkins has done in the twilight of his career & nobody goes back & watches his fights as he was coming up.I don't get the Hopkins thing. He's not a knockout artist but is a true example of the sweet science. (most fights anyway) I dont' get the Winky thing either. I love watching both of'em.
Hopkins was tactical & tricky...but he sure as shat wasn't boring...how do you consider a man with 32 ko's boring?
If you consider that boring...then you just don't know.

I'll say this, Hopkins was smart with how he fought, could he of made it better for us fans? Sure but I doubt he'd of had the same legacy. VS Taylor (both), Oscar, and Tito he was exciting to me. The biggest fights of his career he showed up for, which is more than anyone like Ruiz or Ottke can say.
Tarver is way up there, anyone on the contender, definately Chris Byrd (as good as he is), Dominick Guinn here lately, Audrey Harrison, Carlos Boldizar, and just to piss Sal off ZAB JUDAH
