When he did fight Hagler he begged for the fight to be 12 rounds not 15. He than runs the whole fight and gets a gift win. He than begs the WBC to have Donny Lalonde put his Light Heavyweight title on the line for there Super Middleweight fight. All so he can win two titles and say he won 6 titles in 6 divisions.

He's not overrated. And Hearns moved up in weight didn't he and how did he duck a Hearns rematch when he retired twice? And he fought one and then retired again, then he came back and first fight back fought Hagler. I did a whole long post about why these fights didn't happen till 10 years apart but I don't feel like looking for it

Ever thought that Leonard was on the decline against Hagler?....

    a) he moved up in weight to face the bigger man
    b) he hadn't fought in 5 years
    c) Hagler wasn't that much in decline, he was active and just had 2 of the biggest wins of his career

He is a great, end off.

It was only a 3 year lay off and Leonard continued to train throughout the duration. Hagler said before the fight that if he won he would have retired so he had made up his mind he was at the end of his career.

Leonard was great, even though I never rooted for him. The reason I say his fans were the most annoying is this, alot of people that thought Leonard beat Hagler, think that Floyd lost to Castillo the first fight. IMO, Floyd's win was clearer than Leonards. Leonard was great, but IMO, him being loved by the public, and Hagler never getting recognition had alot to do with that decision. If the fight was now, I don't think that pity-pat shat would get him a W. Leonard was great, yes. But, his fans were the most annoying.

Even though I'm a Floyd fan, I agree. Leonard was a good guy who the public adored, that was bad. Now, Floyd is a bad boy, and with todays general public, everyone loves the badboy. And it makes it worse that Floyd has to use that image to help promote. The only good thing about it is that alot of people watch him fight, hoping he will lose. Sells tickets.

You can't compare Hagler Leonard to Castillo Floyd.

Put in the fact how long Leonard was off coming against the number 1 guy and pulling off that upset. Floyd was as active and Castillo was active and Floyd moved up to fight him and won a close fight but everyone expected Floyd to win that fight. NOBODY expected Leonard to win

I agree, but the Floyd done more in the ring against Castillo, than Ray did against Marvin. Just because Ray kept it close, doesn't mean he deserves a win. And, just because Floyd didn't destroy Castillo, doesn't mean he deserves a loss.

What I'm saying is that its easier to notice who's winning or not because everyone expected Floyd to beat Castillo. Nobody expected Ray to beat Hagler they thought it would be a blowout so whatever Ray did offensive or win a round ro anything he did was more then he was expected to do so it was more noticable. Floyd may have done more against Castillo but it was expected so not as noticable. Nobody expected it from Ray. And it was Hagler's own fault for giving away the first 3 rounds of that fight.
