I think it's perfectly reasonable to assume that if Zab had been completely composed, stayed down on one knee, taken an 8 count and then rised tohear the bell, his corner could have worked on him and possibly he could have survived. If Floyd Mayweather for exampl had been hit like that by Tyszu he may well have managed to keep himself composed in that way and survive, similar to how Ali survived against Henry Cooper, and Diego Coralles survived against Castillo, with his clever spitting out of the mouthpiece.
These are two fighters who kept their wits about them when hurt.
Unfortunately Zab doesn't have that mindset and whenever he gets hurt his mind self destructs. Given that fact it would have been impossible for Zab (being Zab) to compose himself and gather his senses.
The ability to mentally take a punch and cope with intense pressure is an inate ability the same as having natural strength, a great chin, great movement etc, it's not something that can be learnt.
Just like Frank Bruno would drop his arms and sway haplessly before falling like a giant Redwood when caught, so Zab will ALWAYS lose when he gets hurt, simply because he cannot mentally cope with the pressure of being hurt. Round 7 with Carlos Baldomir proved that, he just lost it.
Zab will always lose it, it's not something you can train for.
So yes Tyzsu would have stopped him had the fight gone on
