The light heavyweight crown is good and all but it's not the heavyweight championship of the world is it?

In 20 years people will still rate Jones higher I reckon UNLESS B Hop beats Calzaghe or Jones in a rematch

I just wanted to say congratulations to Bernard Hopkins for a historic victory.
Some folk might feel the need to pick apart aspects of the two ageing warriors but the bottom line is Hopkins new in his heart he could beat Tarver so he came up 2 weights and did just that.
He's a class act so I hope he stays retired and we can remember him that way.

jesus, bilbo.....what an evil thread for miles to have to deal with!!!!

i love both fighters, but i really want b hop to just stay out of boxing now...he's accomplished something many said he couldnt do and at the age of 41 he isnt going to get any better.....

i just want him to go out on this high...

calzaghe should just focus on getting better and cleaning up the super middleweight divsion and then just bow out....

Considering Hopkins backed out of and turned down multi-million dollar fights with Calzaghe he payed a big compliment to him after the Tarver fight when asked why he hadn't moved up earlier in his career he said something along the lines of - "too big a risk for too little a reward"

Obviously Hopkins is/was a brilliant fighter and equally as obvious he is extremely smart
