I had a blast playing it, watching it or any other team sport is like swalling razorblades though... I even got to see the cup on my 60 incher in hd! Still no effect, still wanna castrate those who attempt to converse with me on the subject of team sports.

Although I have been wondering why Iran was allowed to compete, figured the other teams would protest

as an American and someone who has played for all most 25 years, I still only watch the national team. I haven't got into MLS and I don't watch any of the European leagues either. I will say going to the World cup in the US was awesome and the US/Mex game in houston I went to kicked a$$. I understand some fans dislike do to the lack of scoring. I get into watching it but I think if you never played its hard to appreciate some of the finer points of the game. I'm from Texas and I can't stand watching hockey, even though it has similar dynamics to soccer. Needless to say the US needs to attack the opponents goal with alot more urgency and speed or we wont win a single game this cup much less advance. Czechs looked real good and I'd pick them to beat Italy if their big forward isn't still injured.

The US played with no desire today...they were flat and apparently expected the Czechs to not show up...Arena will lay into them more, he already publicly called out Landon Donovan and Beasley.

The only bright spots were Johnson and Wolfe but it was far too late for any kind of comeback.

The starters should have been the younger faster guys....and for fucks sake act like you're there for a reason....I don't mind them losing but losing like that was fucking pathetic...and no soccer won't go far if our "best and brightest" don't play with any heart!

    Damn Socceroos played GREAT!

    Thank you, cc back

You learn a thing or two whilst working in a Mexican restaurant only watching Gol TV....and what you learn is MEXICAN SOCCER SUCKS!!!

I mean if we forced Americans to watch Mexican league games then the MLS would seem like the fucking Premier League (as far as excitement goes). College soccer is where it's at here...for now, I think they need to really push College stars and then people could follow them in the pros much like Football and Basketball.

The key for the Americans is matchups...be faster than the big guys (Czechs), bigger than the fast guys (Ghana), and posses the ball more than the ball control team (Italy)...well we tried to out big Czech and it backfired...but hell they played with no heart it doesn't matter who we had out there you can't play like that.

The boxing equivilent to that match would be Tommy Morrison-Ray Mercer...we thought too highly of ourselves, didn't focus on how good the Czechs were and it bit us in the ass

Johnson brought some life to the squad but it was just too late...the US is sooo close to being a real force in soccer, they just can't win in Europe or in Mexico....I have no clue why...it's the same size field, same goal, same ball...what is their problem?

I think Arena should have made some adjustments sooner.......I don't know about you but at this level their should be no room for 'Letting a player get adjusted' if 25 minutes into a game you just aint doing it (at this level) then you aint gonna get it, therefor IMO Arena should have made some moves sooner.

Where the fuck was Clint Dempsey?!?! He's our best goal scorer as Donovan has apparently gone to outter space or something
