Morning empty stomach training is probably not that useful except for fat burning

i do crunches, then have quick shower then bed.![]()
right i dont box, i never plan to box, but i've a degree in sports science so heres my take
wen you wake up in the morning after 8 hours sleep your body doesnt have any energy source, food is energy and that is used up in the night.
if you go running your body needs energy so it starts getting its energy from the fat deposits thus helping weight loss.
now if u want to lose weight, run in the morn on an empty stomach, if you want to gain fitness run whenever you want, but make sure you have eaten previous like few hours etc
adams right that it probably does not have any effect on the amatures unless you are needing to make weight

Thats my point exactly... your body has virtually no carbs to use for the Anaerobic energy system, and it can't use fat for Anaerobic exercise.
So basically you're limiting your road work to a subpar Aerobic Jog which is relying souly on fat and won't help you in the Amatuers all that much...
Fat burning, Aerobic for a pro... but thats it...![]()
Fat is burned in the flames of carbs. Even at rest our main fuel source in the body is fat. The phosphocreatine and aerobic (glucose and fat) systems work at the same time, they don't switch on and off depending on what you are doing.
In the morning there's plenty of carbs in the body in the form of muscle and liver glycogen. The only difference is, initially there isn't lots of glucose in the bloodstream. With blood glucose being low, adrenaline is secreted, therefore, increasing the metabolic rate. This has the effect of kick starting the metabolism to work at a high rate all day. I'm in agreement with VODKA. This can only be a good thing because when you come to doing the high intensity stuff later your body will be warmer and if your nutrition is ok you should feel more alert.
I have never done a 7 minute amatuer bout can someone explain that to me. Longest I have done was 8 min and that was 4 2 min rounds. and 3 2 mins rounds are 6 mins.
I think the type of training you should do depends on your body type. Small skinny guys should get themselves stronger, big guys should go for muscle endurance.

Total = 8 minutes.
I think running in the morning is very good for 1 thing above all others dicipline.
Pain lasts a only a minute, but the memory will last forever....

Can't argue with that Scrap... definetly think getting up as early as I did when I was working the sites every morning no matter what I'd done the night before toughned me up quiet a lot mentally.
Emma - When your other half caught me in your bedroom that morning, and I went running, I must admit that I went back to bed when I got home.
