I'm a Tua fan. I think is nickname stinks on hot ice. David "Tuaman" Tua has to be the worst one out there. I always hoped for a Tua/Tyson fight.

I thought Lennox couldn't have been more cowardly than when he fought Tua. Maybe it wasn't that he was a coward, but he could have tried harder to hurt Tua. It looked like a big brother holding his little brother back with a hand on the forehead while he swings away wildly.
    its called boxing.

Exactly Adam. Have a CC. Who cares if Lewis didn't try to KO Tua. He made Tua look so baaad in that fight I forgot why anyone ever thought he would be champ some day. In fact watching him get so outoxed that I decided that night Tua would never be champ and six years later he hasn't won even the WBO title.

I guess after fighting back-to-back pushovers like Michael Grant and Frans Botha, I would be leary of Tua and keep my jab extended all night as well.

I guess know that statement was meant as a light hearted throw away remark, but....

In the 21st century, in the developed world there probably is no physical reason as to why a fighter who is HIV+ should not be allowed to box.

Yes there would have to be rule changes to take into account either fighter getting cut. But the actual chances of becoming HIV+ in these controlled circumstances would be minimal.

The real reason it probably could not happen is the extra insurance costs for each fighter.

I guess what I am trying to say is that sadly there are far more easier ways to die because of boxing.

    Time to get off my

    Box on

To my mind it is called respect, not cowardice...

At the very top level David Tua brings a left hook and a granite chin to the table, little else.

If you are a 6' 5" Heavyweight, with an excellent jab, and a fine straight right, you do what Lewis did when fighting the teak tough Samoan

I can see why people thought it was boring, but if you watch it properly, Lewis expert use of his jab and a timely straight right, kept Tua honest all night.

The truth is Tua's reluctance to step into the inside of Lewis' jab, was the main reason the fight was considered boring.

And why did Tua not step into the inside? Well perhaps like you suggest about Lewis, Tua was a coward himself? Or perhaps like I said, it is called respect
