my arguement was that if they put nfl preseason games on tv, regular season games on hbo/showtime, and playoff games on ppv, you would have a bunch of people running around saying nfl is dead, and you would also have a bunch of people who dont see any games but read the stats in the daily newspaper acting like they know wtf theyre talking about (which is the case with boxing these days)
people on this forum are for the most part very knowledgeable, but MY GOD....... you should hear some of the arguements i've had to endure with people at home, office, etc.etc.

"floyd mayweather isnt that good of a boxer cause my mom has never heard of him"
i swear to god, somebody at work actually said that, and he was serious
PPV is one of the main reasons boxing is drying up as a sport. How can kids have boxing hereos when they cant even see them box. I know ppv has put untold millions of dollars into the pockets of boxers, but its only a small percentage of boxers that are actually making that money. For the mega superstars of boxing ppv is good, but for the rest of the boxers and the fans ppv is bad.

It's funny how we have to PPV HBO and Showtime and above that we have to Over PPV to see their best events(Boxing)
