CC back Wacko. I don't really like Oscar that much but no one can argue with the fact that he has fought an awesome array of fighters and has the charm, the appeal and the business mind to complement his skills. I bet Floyd wants to be like Oscar but I don't think he ever will in any area unless he takes mega fight after mega fight. Even if PBF beats Oscar,he has a long long way to go before he can be compared to the Golden Boy!

Nah actually I think it's only me that is a real De La Hoya hater, unfortunately
in the ring hes ok IMO.... but its outside the ring when he talks... it sort of rubs me the wrong way too.....
Hey glad to find another dissenter. I actually like watching his fights too, inside the ring isn't a problem, it's just the way he has marketed himself as the perfect man.

I don't know if you are familiar with the old British comedy Red Dwarf, but he's kind of like Ace Rimmer. Whenever he talks to anybody with his pearly white teeth and $100 million dollar smile people just seem to swoon over him.

You can just picture them thinking to themselves as he leaves, 'What a guy!'.

he seems to be one fake mudafuker....and his singing career didn't help.... he has done and will continue to do many great things for both boxing and boxers. still he pisses me off to no end when he opens his mouth......just does not seem all real.....IMO

Oh sweet mercy I forgot about his singing career

I reckon within 10 years he will probably be an internationally renowned telly evangelist, healing millions at huge PPV rallies.

He's a dead cert to run for president in another decade or so I'd imagine.
