IMO this would look real similiar to the Roy Jones vs Richard Hall fight. Roy dropping the puncher, Benn, a couple times, and probably stopping him later on. Benn loved to leap in with that wild overhand right, and he would definately pay for that shat. Remember Roy had a lot of power himself. Roy was just too fast, too skilled, too much. So like everyone else on here I voted Roy Jones to win.

Ummmmmmmmmm...Toney scored the bulk of his KO's while he was a middleweight at the start of his career...clearly...he had as much or more power than Benn & most of Toney's KO's during the start of his career were before the halfway point of the fight...just like Benn.

All of Hopkins KO's came as a middleweight because he was a middleweight.

Good night to you too sir.

CC. You tell him. Toney and B-hop were greater fighters than Benn, and just as powerful in their own right, in their early careers.

Too true. They were just as powerful & IWO...more skilled...& that's hard for me to say...because you know that I can't stand Toney.

why do you dislike toney so much?

you obviously know he is a great great fighter...is it his prefight act?

if you met him today and he was nice with you or somat, would you still think the same of him?

i think he is a wicked charcter, and he will be GREATLY MISSED WHEN HE RETIRES!

Yeah Roy would probably force a stoppage.
IMO benn is slighlty on the chinny side. I think Roy would catch him with one too many sweet leftys late on and cause a stoppage. Probably not a KO though.

P.S Roy didnt engage with Toney because its not like you have much to exploit with Toney is there?

Same goes with B-Hop.... Power or no power.

sorry, but that's just a fact man.
    Benn 35 knockouts
    Hopkins 32 knockouts
    Toney 43 knockouts

    Sorry...those are the facts too...man.
Sorry but Benn hit harder than Toney... a lot harder, Toney stopped people with a lot of shots... and had more bouts, forget the figures... watch them in the ring

    Yep, i do agree there.

Benn is one of the biggest punchers in Middleweight history, no question.

Mate theres a big...no MASSIVE difference between the roy jones who fought tarver and the roy jones that would fight Benn. You didnt catch roy very often, so i doubt benn would of done that to a roy jones on his game. RJJ was unbelievable at his best.

i just think mate sooner or later benn would duck under then come up and land a big hook and bye bye jones. i think jones is excellent fighter and has got better skills than benn but i think jones is bit chinny and if jones got caught with one of them hooks im sorry i dont think he could take it but thats just my opinion

I was and still am a huge Benn fan.

This is one fight I wish would have happened in mid 90s.

The judges would not be needed - I see this ending by KO one way or the other from 9th round onwards and I hate to say it but I have to lean slighty towards Roy to be the one to get it for the win.

Would have loved to see it though

benn...just like eubank, collins, and Darius had zero chance of beating prime roy jones...but its hard for people to see that now, because of this wonderful thing called hindsight...everyone who ever disliked roy will say that he's chinny, or cant take a punch because he finally got knocked out after 15years of hoping that he would...when in fact if we could all erase the visual memory of him being knocked out and go back to the early 90's and then ask who'd win...I think it be a 98% poll in favor of RJJ stoping Benn...with the 2% being the usual root-against-the-favorite-guys...

Way to arrogant, ignorant, & mouthy for my likings.

Sure he's a great fighter...you can be a great fighter & a turd at the same time. I recognize the fact that he's a great fighter...but he's not a great heavyweight...he's just a fat super middle IWO.

Nope...because I think that, from my POV, he's bad for the division.

He'll be missed by some...but not by me. It's all in what you like from your fighters...I just don't like him as a person or how he is outside the ring...I don't know him personally...but his persona...or what he projects just annoys the fwock outta me.

I've seen them both in the rings. Admittedly, I have seen Toney's late career fights...the early ones (first 20 or so) haven't seen that many of them...but Toney has many 1-4 round KO's...one has to think that power brought that on.

Hopkins...I have pertty much every fight of his on either disc or tape & he's got KO power...not just accumulative power either. Early in Bernard's career he had 2 & 3 punch combos that flat out laid his opponents out casket style.
