Why do Americans boxers always hype themselves before they had proved something? –and why do American boxing fans always believe in their S*** talking? That being said. Green is terrible...nothing like Lacy...so this thread is a bit pointless...but it sure does bring out the stupidity...which has become almost humerous in a Royal way.

Actually judging a fighter on a rough night and saying he's terrible is a bit much. Every fighter struggles, what matters is if you win the fight. And Green won the fight. Just because you wasn't impressed doesn't make Green a bad fighter.

Pointless thread, whats wrong with jeff lacy anyway? He didn't change just because he lost to Calzaghe, its just that Joe had the style, determination and most importantly prepared better than Jeff. On another night Jeff could have landed the punch to wobble Calzaghe. Just coz he lost, it doesn't mean he ain't the guy that destroyed Reid, Sheika, Pemberton etc. and it doesn't mean he isn't better OR worse than Allan Green. And just cos Allan Green had one rough night it doesn't mean he's the next Jeff Lacy.... I hate fickle fans who will write off a fighter because they have a rougher night than usual. And is Green a bad fighter because he struggled with a good opponent last night.  Lacy had his Sheika fight his Wiggins fight his Williams fight and he continued on well.    But Green has a tough fight as he's coming up and they say he's terrible Sometimes I think people just want to see Green lose because of the Codrington incident.  But if you actually knew the situation here it is..

His "plug of the car dealership" wasn't to diss Codrington   The guy who he was promoting was supposed to have his emblem put on Allan's trunks to promote the dealership for the fight, but the stichier(if thats what you call them) never showed up, so Green gave the credit to the guy after the fight.  THAT is the reason it happened, it had nothing to do with Jaidon, but these bullshit announcers just find reason to discredit anything a fighter does acting like they knew the whole story

He gassed out in the seventh after trying to KO Linton. OK, he won UD. The guy repeat can not fight JoeCal now. I don't know what it is with these young fighters like Taylor and Green but they all have stamina problems. You'd think that they have the edge in stamina. IF Green fought JoeCal, he'd be beaten to a bloody pulp. Green shouldn't get on his own hype train this fast, he should really take some twelve round fights and get used to fight that long.

The Calzaghe fans want to try to downgrade Lacy but what they failt to realise is that calling Lacy a bum only shows that the only reason Calzaghe won was because Lacy wasa bum IF thats the case then they can't say Calzaghe is the best 168 pounder if he just beat an "overhyped bum" If I was a Calzaghe fan I would be building up Jeff Lacy as the greatest thing since sliced bread to ever hit the Super Middleweight division

Green was lucky as hell to get the decision IMO. Without the KD he shoulda lost. With it he still shoulda lost IMO or gotten a draw. the whole point in calzaghe bieng as big as he is at this moment was not because lacy couldnt live upto his hype it was becuase lacy was so good and he got beaten squarely.... hes still one of the most talented out there...
