Interesting what you can make statistics do for you.
94-97 and -99 ... Oscar was pretty busy during those years, fighting some good competition. Not sure the "taking out Tito's trash" scenario really persuades in the end.
But still, interesting.

And as far as who should he fight ... either fight would be a good'n.
I do want to see him KO PBF. But either fight is one to watch.
Really the logical choice should be neither of them!!
if he had any desire left he would fight the highly regarded p4p choice Winky Wright; the man who beat both Oscars conquerers Mosley (twice), destroyed Trinidad and got a draw against Taylor who beat Hopkins TWICE!! not to mention when Wright moved up to 160 pound he was the Undisputed Champion of the current division that Oscar resides in.![]()
That would be sweet for ODLH to fight someone else other then PBF.
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! I just remembered something you know when PBF runs his fwocken louad moufth and speaks nonsense about "Margarito needs me, I don't need Margarito", and "Baldomir needs me, I don't need Baldomir"
WELL GUESS WHAT BBBYYYYYAAATTTTTCCCCCCHHHHHH!!!!
ODLH don't need you, you need him.
ODLH will fwocken sell out any venue fighting whom ever. You (PBF) on the other hand couldn't even sell out the 'New Orleans Casino'.
You see people I, like some of you have learned that was goes around.................Well you know comes aorund. PBF ran his mouth that everybody needed him. Now he may be left without ODLH and like MOST of you people said ODLH vs. PBF makes more '$EN$E' than PBF vs. MARGARITO. Well then in your way of seeing things I guess ODLH vs. TITO makes even more '$EN$E$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ than ODLH vs. PBF.
And thats what happends whe you run your mouth tooo much in the end I hope that PBF is left with 2 options.
1. Fight Margarito
2. Take another nonsense fight that will mean nothing to his career.
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
FWOCKEN LOVING THIS NEWS.....
I think the Tito fight is the safer bet on going out with a win. And PBF has the bigger impact on his legacy if he wins. That being said I'd rather see the PBF. I already know that ODH can box circles around Tito(at least for 7-8 rounds), but I am really curious if he can impose his will on a much faster opponent in PBF. Count on it though if Oscar doesn't win it won't be his last fight.

Honestly... as their records stand today a win over Winky would do more for Oscars legacy than beating Floyd. Floyd's greatness is largely a product of media and self hype!!
possibly only until November 4th...

a strong move for oscar
then you start rambling on about how floyd couldnt sell out the "new orleans" casino (its called the orleans, btw)when he almost sold out the thomas and mack (it was judah selling those tickets, im sure)
and lastly...................
trinidad has expressed NO INTREST in making this fight, its just a name that oscar is throwing out there to avoid a loss with pbf
are you gonna be this excited if tito turns it down and oscar calls out spinks or some nonsense?

My man I respect ANY boxer that steps in the ring and does it NOT ONLY to get rich and earn a living BUT because they love to fight. Now someone that uses these exact words "Tell him right now is not the time, tell him he needs to do smart business, we will meet down the road then IT will generate more money and it will be bigger & better" IS NOT boxing for the sport he just fighting to keep hes undeafeated record and to make money.
You are right it's not called 'New Orleans" it's The Orleans but to back fire at my post and point that out is like me telling you that it's 'Thomas & Mack Center" So please do yourself a favor and elaborate more on your replys with things that matter instead of the appropiate name of a venue.
And the ticket sales well I'm sure it had a lot to do with the fight being SOOOOOO OVERLY HYPED. IMO they both sold tickets that night but PBF on his own couldn't do it. Or are you gonna tell me that he sold out Boardwalk that night against Gatti?
As a matter a fact I will be happy whomever ODLH choses to fight as long as it's NOT PBF.
Anything else that you would like to discuss?
If Oscar chooses to fight Trinidad, a win would do nothing to help his legacy. If he wanted to go out with an easy win, why doesn't he just quit right now? The hype around his farewell match was that he would make 1 last grasp at the brass ring and go out on top, now he's saying he won't? He should've said that in the first place so I wouldn't care.
If he doesn't fight Floyd or Winky, it's just another everyday farewell match, no big deal.
I can think of 50 million reasons why it is a big dealOriginally Posted by knodaledge

IS weird, here in Puerto Rico I haven't heard anything from Tito or the local media I only saw it here on the web because what Oscar said I might be mistaken and missed it but I kind of read the papers every now and then.

Tito has been out for some time now, I think Oscar should go for the P4P guy right now ! I like Oscar to beat Mayweather.
