LOOK!! Jermain Taylor has about as much right to the number 1 spot as Floyd Mayweather!!

The proof is in the pudding

before Taylor beat BHop, BHop was no.1 p4p
before Taylor drew with Wright, Wright was equal no.1 p4p

to be classed the best of the lot you have too at least prove your the best of your division!?

A win over Baldomir gives Mayweather a good claim for the spot

Name me 3 who went on to become World Champ after Jermain Taylor beat them and then you'll have a point to it

I was surprised as to how many people on this issue were spot on. Floyd is the most common answer but my choice goes to Pacquaio.

In the last couple of years Manny has knocked out or blown out 2 (4?) future hall of fame fighters. In that same span Floyd has merely kept busy, even if he has looked dominant during it. I don't think an assured victory over Baldomir changes that.

You can't blame Floyd that there are fewer big name challenges at his weight classes but tell that to someone like Israel Vasquez or Joe Calzage (sp?).

Floyd may be the most naturally gifted fighter today but right now its Manny's time.

Manny Pacquiao for the opposition he has faced, ditto Winky, with Jermian Taylor leaping over them both if he beats Winky but Pacman coming back if he beats EM.PBF is there based on talent alone,no way does his resume in the last 4 years measure up to those 3 guys but he more talent than all of them.

Definitely Winky!! No question about that. Takes on all the top guys and wins convincingly. By the way, you gotta love how he backed down the bigger man in Taylor. Pac has an argument but for now it's got to be Winky. These guys don't duck ala Floyd.

You have to be kidding, saying that there aren't enough names for Floyd to make a name.

Its easily PBF still... Judah was the hardest opponent for him IMO except maybe Mosley because he didn't power or gloves to take advantage of Judah's chin, and Judah was focused, fast, and on the ball for the fight its just Mayweather used his skill to figure Judah out and dominate the fight.

I dont know about Judah being the hardest for PBF....Though in the first few rds I thought Judah might actually do it...He was outboxing him and hurting him with the shots to the body...( I loved watching PBF wince shit talking weasel he is) but Judah cant help but breakdown as soon as things get a little difficult...If Zab just made an adjustment or two he could have done it....BUT Castillo was his hardest opp...PBF lost that first fight and was given a gift

    IMO...

    1. Pacman
    2. Winky
    3. PBF

PBF is the more naturally talented of the group but he really hasnt fought anybody to truly prove how much talent he has. He hasnt had a gut check fight since Castillo 2. It seems like Pacman and Winky are in gut check fights every other fight. I think they are all close, but put Pacman and Winky ahead because they have proved how good they are against tougher competition.

He is a warrior. I would like him a lot more if he was not so polite in the ring. I would love to see him get angry at his opponents. Freddy Roach is always telling him to stop being so nice in the ring. Damn it Manny! Listen to Freddy! lol

How do you figure? Morales has lost 3 of his last 4..
Yup, you are right but that the seems to be consensus among many boxing analysts from different boxing websites. Winky going down from number 2 spot to 3 because of his draw with Taylor and Pac taking over his spot there for beating Larios. But still there are some who place Pac at number one spot arguing that Floyd's choice of opponents are not as impressive as Pac's but still Floyd has a slight lead against Pac at the ratio of about 3 to 2. This is what I meant by the 'argument about Pac and Floyd P4P issue' and since Floyd stand at the number 1 spot on a thin margin, the scale can be easily tipped in Pac's favor if he convincingly beat Erik again, IMO.
Once in awhile, get outside in fresh air, take a deep breath & with a deep sigh, let out all the things that's bottled up inside you & be free, & you'll get a glimpse of nirvana.
