    im disappointed with hatton.

hes got a 3 fight schedule with hbo that was originally designed to end with a hatton/pbf mega fight (according to ring magazine august issue)and the first fight was with collazo, and hes gonna waste #2 on urango.

the only remotely big fight at 140 would be with jlc, so that could be #3

theres other fights that would be good at 140, but i dont see many being mega fights like hbo wanted.

i gotta hunch that hattons gonna be a showtime fighter by early next year

I agree about the 140 competition that is available, I wouldn't mind seeing him face Junior Witter or D-hop,
I would think that either of those would be bigger draws than Urango. Of course JLC would be the biggest
And then he could say he beat the man that beat PBF (if he won of course)
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

    if castillo beat pbf.................

    then collazo beat hatton

    quartey beat delahoya

    strum beat delahoya

    toney beat peter

    juarez beat barerra

and the list goes on and on but it doesnt matter, because a close fight where you LOSE a decision doesnt count as a victory

Not only that, but his most recent victory, against Ben Rahbah was a complete robbery (as has been mentioned). I watched it back when it aired on FNF and Rahbah was seriously boxing circles around Urango and urango didnt connect with ANYTHING but air 99% of the time. Think of Peter-Toney; except Urango connected with FAR fewer punches than Peter did and never hurt Rabah. Urango-Rabah was a true robbery.

I think Hatton peaked vs. Tszyu and will never be able to perform on that level again. He'll be able to do better than he did against Collazo, but I think it's really pathetic to take on Urango..that's really reaching towards the bottom of the barrel and he should be really be fighting better opponents. He's wasting his potential and his fans time. Most of the big names have moved up to 147 anyways other than and hatton has proved that he wont be able to compete on that level with any of the top 10.

Dude, pbf-jlc I was a close fight and saying that pbf straight out lost is nonsense. PBF won definitively in the rematch anyways.

I do agree though unless Hatton does a complete 180 that fighting castillo is the closet he's ever going to get to Floyd

You all think Urango is garbage huh? BS. And the Ben-Rabah borefest was no robbery. Neither guy did much, Ben-Rabah ran for his life, didn't try to inflict any damage on his opponent and Urango missed his share while chasing Rabah around the ring. The fight sucked and neither guy deserved to be called a World Champ afterward, IMO Urango at least tried to make it a fight and did land more than he was given credit for. Juan Urango is a southpaw slugger with serious pop and a big heart. He's not garbage. He's hasn't shown he's in the British Troll's league, granted that, but he's no bum, and will bring it.

Hatton really is a thrill ride. He is very determined, I love to see that in a fighter. I love his ruthless stay on your chest fighting style. It’s almost like a ally way mauling . Very tough minded. and has no quit in him, no let up, no fucking breaks for his opponent , he reminds me of Wayne Mccullough only with power. its like he is going crazy deep inside before a fight, you can see that he just wants to be let off the chain so that he can attack his pray. The fucking kids a Go ! Top notch in my book ! When you make the all time great Jr. Welterweight Champion Kostya Tszyu quit, you’ve done something special. !

Calm down son, calm down. Did you forget to take your medication again? Hatton's no Tyson, or Duran. Just a very good Jr. Welterweight who also caught a few guys: Vince Phillips, Ben Tackie, Kosta Tzyu at the end of their careers. Certainly after Tzyu's KO of Mitchell he didn't appear to be slipping at all. And really physically I don't think he had very much, but mentally he had lost the hunger that had drove him when he was younger. That's what led him to quit against Hatton, that, the vicious attack of Hatton, and the shot to his nuts.

I agree with you that his fight with Rabah was no robbery. And that Urango at least tried to fight, as opposed to Rabah. But that don't change the fact that Urango is garbage. And Hatton has no business fighting him. But he is. And he'll probably underestimate him, which we'll lead to an upset. Which would thankfully, end all this Hatton talk. But sadly bring on the useless Urango talk.
