To be honest i'm glad Witter won but i'm still not so sure about him. I mean it's great that corley hardly landed a glove on him.......but its not so great how Witter often looked clumsy by diving in and missing. He landed a few decent shots (especialy in the 5th) but it wasn't a performance that should be good enough to win a world title (let alone the wbc one). Last night was a match up between 2 counter punchers and witter was just that bit quicker to the punch. For me, as soon as he's in with a more positive world class fighter, he'l get found out. That's my opinion, but congrats to him he got the job done!!!!

Am I the only person who found last night's fight painful to watch?

Can't see how you guys can rave about Witter, he's just horrible to watch.

Lunge into opponent, grab, lunge into opponent again, wrestle opponent to floor, adopt the sword stance, stand motionless for 30 seconds, lunge into opponent, and repeat

Have to admit I stopped watching after 8 rounds becuase it was too torturous, but let me say this, Junior Witter had been left out in the wilderness for good reason.

The Witter Corely fight has now joined the Wright Trinidad fight in my Room 101.

I guess it's a case of different strokes for different folks.

Personally I watch boxing because I like to see two men fight. If I want to see great tactical play and strategic nuances I'll watch the snooker

I know what you're saying. I really enjoyed Toney doing his thing against Sam Peter.

Just seemed like the judges didn't though. They were definitely Mayorga fans :P

I thought the way he slipped, moved and countered was brilliant. The win was brilliant but what I didn't like was some of the posturing. The Hitter struck a different pose for every round. A bit of showboating's fine but imo he took it too far.

A just deserved win all the same.

Fair play to Witter for winning the belt. Ive just watched the fight and I have to say I had to fast forward most of it.

Still dont see him beating Hatton Cotto Mayweather.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough

no mate would be no fun if we all agreed... just make it more fun when the fight happens

and Matty Corley for me was made to look that way by Witters impressive counterpunching style... he just got fed up of hitting air and getting smack around

Time will tell but for now im a beliver in Witter... the boy did good.

Hairdoo i think he mentioned in the interview we done with him hes after Cotto and Hatton... cant remember what he said after the fight interview
I hear what ya saying mate, but surely Corley could of at least attempted to land a decent shot on Witter.

I guess we will have to agree to disagree on this one mate
If he had he would have been stopped, and after feeling Witters power he wanted no part of getting countered by him and witter did the right thing by waiting, because he was winning, and DeMarcus should have been the one that pressed but once he felt that power he was very content with not being knocked out
