I've said it before ERIK is the better of the 2, I remember doing a thread a while back and comparing the 2 side by side. Opposition, Longevity, Skill, Titles, Key Victories etc. etc.

Final verdict both are GREAT but when comparing Erik takes it.

    Agreed man.

Also the great CARLOS FAMOSO HERNANDEZ!!!!!!!

Hernandez handled Champion Steve Forbes, who by the way, in his old age WAS ABLE to compete at a MUCH HIGHER WEIGHT CLASS and make it to the finals of THE CONTENDER. Steve took on all those young guns and made it with flurries, ring generalship, and heart. (Actually I thought Steve won the whole thing, but it was no robbery.)

I saw that fight Forbes vs Hernandez on tv, and me, being a total novice to boxing, thought Forbes wasn't good. But what I didn't realize was that Hernandez was one TOUGH MUTHERF*CKER!!!!! umm .... That's an understatement. He was a World Class Boxer. There, that's better. Famoso trained his a** off for that fight and he put all his heart into the fight.

I drove all the way to Vegas MGM Grand(many hours), that was my first attendance at a big fight and the first time I watched Erik Morales live. I knew Famoso would bring it. It was a great fight and night. And that fight was at 130lbs.

After the fight, I also saw Carlos' beautiful wife crying. She was hugging fans as she walked out of the arena.
Yeah I didn't mention the Hernandez fight because I actually havent seen it, but certainly it's another great name on Morales resume.. Hernandez really is a warrior... Speaking of his wife crying makes me remember Hernandez crying after he was shafted against Bobby Pac.. THat was a disgraceful robbery.

Yes, Famoso is just one of those fighters who PUTS EVERYTHING in a fight.

    A very special fighter.

MANNY "PACMAN" PACQUIAO IS THE BEST OF THEM ALL. HE HAS DEMOLISHED THESE TWO GUYS CONVINCINGLY BY KO'S. WHAT MORE CAN YOU PROVE THAT HE IS NOT THE BEST? THAT'S WHY MANNY IS CALLED THE DESTROYER FOR NOTHING. NEXT TIME, GUYS, YOU STOP TALKING ABOUT LOSERS. GO TO THE WINNER, THE PHILIPPINES' PRIDE IN MANNY PACQUAIO. ENOUGH SAID.

I did have a score at the time. I don't know what it was now.

Boxing is an odd sport. You work VERY hard, but if you lose the round the other guy wins the round and you get nothing... even if it's a close round.

Morales' talent and conditioning lead him to an exciting victory. Great fight. Famoso never gave up. All I can say is that many thought it was close. It was one of those fights where Famoso brought EVERYTHING and came with EVERYTHING, but lost to a better fighter that night.

I know I didn't have it 115-113! WAY TOO CLOSE!!! Famoso's heart made it close, but I have to count Morales' skillfull display!!!
119-109 is a shutout! haha The fight wasn't a shutout, by no means.

But it was one of those fights where Famoso landed two punches on Morales' head, but Morales slipped 3 of them and landed a 1-2 cleanly on Famoso's head. And Famoso kept truckin' while Morales slipped a few and landed some crowd pleasing combo's. But Famoso made it great for his fans by never giving up and landing a few great punches.

But no doubt Morales won convincingly.

i think morales is the greater FIGHTER while barrera maybe
    the better BOXER..
need not to explain this ryt?
El Terrible is a FIGHTER who goes into WARS
even if its the enemy's weapon he uses
he managed to win, most of the time

IF Raheem beat Fretas convincingly, you'd have a case for your "want." But Raheem was waaaayy too apprehensive on that night. So was Frietas; ugly fight. Raheem
has the style where he NEEDS a belt to be involved into big fights, and he didn't
FIGHT Freitas enough to win or lose convincingly. Raheem needed to take Freitas'
heart and make PooPoo of PoPo, but he didn't have that urgency. He left the ring
with energy left in the tank and no belt.

Raheem is small time, sorry to say. His only claim to fame IS Morales.

He "beat" Rocky, but we all saw how good Rock is. heheh

Yes, I'm being a little too extreme, but I have to to clarify.

If Morales was 27, I would TOTALLY agree with you. But at this point in Morales' career I'd rather see him in fights with
    Barrera Morales IV
    JMM vs Morales

But if Morales gives Raheem a rematch, damn, just give Morales p4p 1 status just based on balls. hahaha He already has more balls than any fighter p4p today. haha

About who Morales faces next, if he does well with Pacquiao:
I'm talking BIG name opponents that will guarantee a HUGE crowd and more than MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of viewers! A pay-day where Morales could retire very comfortably.

If Morales moves up to 135lbs, why fight Raheem? When he can face champion Freitas?
OR better yet Diego Corrales!!!! IT RHYMES!!! MORALES CORRALES!

Erik's career hasn't finished yet, a win over Pacquiao would blow every win that Barrera has had in his comeback away (besides the Morales win), Fanka, Peden, and Juarez would look like walks in the park compared to a win over Pacquiao

dream on my ass, the last win over Morales wasn't any piece of cake for Manny to do, i as well as many others only had Pacquiao ahead by one round at the time of the stoppage

your idol, terrible dude, was stopped by blistering fists of the Pac. that's the painful truth. what's so humiliating than to kiss the canvass and be counted out by the ref. i just hope morales has guts you have.
