Yes that one also made me sick...

I think the Cintron-Suarez fight is gonna be PPV.
More sickness!! I guess everyone tries to make a PPV out of something. But about 4 PPV's that have happened should have been just on normal TV. Rahman vs. Maskaev should have been HBO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING. Instead of HBOPPV.

Juarez Barerra II THAT WAS a car that was PPV worthy and the fights didnt disappoint.

I'm just glad they didnt make the Valuev fight PPV

Agreed. I'd love a 50th win & retirement too...beating Johnson would work for me. Question is...could he bet Johnson? Not sure.

Roy would lose to Joe. I love Roy...& Joe...but Roy, IWO, is to far gone for Joe & Joe is too gotdammed determined.

Ask you this: If Joe beats Roy...& he will...will you credit Joe...or was Roy to old?

Woods is the best fight for Jones right now.

If I were Roy I would just retire because he's in a very difficult position. He's gonna have an extrememly hard time landing the fights he wants because unlike his glory days, no one stands to gain anything by beating him anymore, so negotiation-wise, he's on the opposite side he use to be, whereas now his opponents can call all the shots. I also hope he's not gonna try to go the route Tyson went before he fought Lennox, in that he had like a million tune ups and after every one he would say, "I just need 3 or 4 more fights to be ready." And lastly, if he really does need a tuneup fight, Manfredo is the absolute worst choice. The mere fact of having their names on the same bill looks disgraceful, much like Larry Holmes-Butterbean did. Roy may as well have just challenged Micky Rourke.

Ok, I'm thinking we got a tough crowd here, for a few reasons......

    1) Clinton Woods(Unavailable) is out of commish for a bit

    2) Joe Calzaghe(Unavailable) is fighting a Scrub by the name of Bika.... Who consequently is not as skilled as Manfredo(but its ok Joe is allowed to fight mediocre competition and get praisesd for it)

So why cant Roy take a warm up fight in the mean time? The other options for Roy are pre occupied...Roy would be stupid at 37 to be inactive for another 9 mo's for what??/ Joe Cal to injure his hands, Clinton still injured..... Roy is doing the right thing by steadily ramping up the competition till he gets one of those 2 guys in the ring.

People forget Boxing is a business 1st outside the ring.....Manfredo has got overwhelming exposure from the contender and the casual-novice boxing fan can relate to his name so if in translates to $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ so folks business is business, if he is gonna take a tune up fight than it myswell put money in his pocket and be a name we all know...

No, I wouldn't give Calzaghe much credit, a little but not much. More than I would have before the Badi Ajamu fight though, Roy did dominate that guy. And JTRock, my fellow RJJ fan, Manfredo just isn't a good choice even for a tuneup. It just rubs me the wrong way, a "contender" guy facing the legendary Roy Jones. Manfredo may be equal to, a little lower, or a touch above Badi Ajamu, but he's defintely no clear step up form Badi, not in my mind.

Calzaghe would be the easiest fight out there Yes ok.

Also nearly killing Woods comment?? Again im confused, he basically made him look silly Woods could of stayed in there and fought on, but he was getting outclassed and was beginning to look silly, but he nearly killed him? As the commentators at the time said Woods would be happy to carry on but his corner new he was getting totally out classed.

This fight wont happen anyways so quit worrying.

No way in hell Jones is getting back down to 168 so he'll be at 175 lb.

Manfredo is probably one of the smallest 168 lbers out there right now, he ain't going to to 175 lb.

This fight is about as likely as Mayweather vs Winky Wright.

He should wait for Glen Johnson & fix that...if Jones is back to his greatness.

Manfredo...business or no...name or no...that's a joke & what if Manfredo were to beat him? What would that accomplish? No worth for the risk, IWO.

Fair enough.....The only X factor to me is....Did they contact Johnsons camp for a fight If so what was saidHow much rest does Johnson want after battling Woods Johnson is an old Warhorse himself so he aint gonna be ready in 3 mos and Roy needs to stay active....

I think a fight with Jeff Lacy is certainly a possibility soon, but as good as Roy is I think he might be trying to avoid any big punchers..... Who the Hell knows
