    you're right - the dirty bastard !!! Bet he hes to take a couple of days off after it sick with a sore arse aswell !

    I have 35 days leave to use (we are allowed to carry 10 over) before April 2007.

    Anyone any ideas of how I can use them ?!

    In the states depending on who you work for and how high up the food chain you are depends on how much vacation (leave) you get. I have worked several jobs where I didnt get any vacation time till after one year of full time employment (hourly pay rate job). If you are paid salary then you usually will get 2 weeks to start with and it goes up the longer you work there. Typically an additional week for every year of service up to whatever the company puts the max at.

    fuck all that. Work is shit ! You spend all your good years under lock and key, make a shit load of money you can't enjoy, finally retire , 2 weeks later you die of heart attack, fuck all that !

    True - live for today that's what I say.

    About 6 years ago we had a woman at work who went 60 and retired - had talked about what she was going to do for years ie travel here there etc... As it was aparticularly busy, end of financial year, time she agreed to stay on for an extra 8 weeks to help collate the budgets.

    Totally out of the blue she dies of a stroke about half way through the extended period.

    was tragic and put everything in perspective for the rest of us.

    average age of death of a prison officer is 62 nd a half years

    hopefully i'll extend to a bit longer than that though
