In fact i don't think that Kessler has EVER come out of a fight with a cut or a marked face.
He simply doesn't get hit - despite being so wide open as you claim.

For some reason (footwork, control of distance) the opponent's shots always fall short by the width of a hair.
Why is that not good defence?

Now, i know you'll assume Calzaghe wont have the same trouble finding his target. But i'd like to see it before believing it.
Because of the output, those punches are going to land. I expect Calzaghe to be hit too. He will be troubled and hurt. Kessler is the real deal. But I dont think he has the all round skill to beat Calzaghe...

Yet he gets hit less than Calzaghe does, against on average better competition, over their respective past 5 fights.
How does he do it without a defence?
He must be a magician then.
    On average better competition?

I don't care who he fought, outside of jabbing and stepping back his defence is very basic.

Dumdane, did you ever think that maybe it has something to do with who Kessler has fought?

This is really a fight I am hoping will materialize too, if Hopkins does not come out of retirement to take on Joe. Kessler I have not yet seen fight but I hear he is pretty bad ass. I will have to look up some clips of him. Calzaghe is a phenom though, yeah hes gettin about to the time when he should hang it up but he still has two or three good fights left in him. Let them fight it out to unify the belts then move Calzaghe either up against Hopkins, Tarver, Winky or Jermaine Taylor, should he pull it off.

Well i realy think this fight wont happen, Joe is coming across like whose Kessler?? Thats pretty stupid Joe, he has the other two belts in the division, i mean he says the Americans are not intrested in Kessler i beg to differ, I think im right in saying if Joe beat Kessler he would be the only Undisputed Champ in Boxing?? Isn't that something to achieve?? This fight has to happen, but im still holding my breathe to weather Joe will ever fight a big fight again, his hand is a huge problem, and again he had poblems in the build up to Bika, i think he thought well this guy is no Bernard Hopkins so he could take the risk with the hand, but he was adament he wasn't ready for Lacy till Frank Warren sat him down and said listen Joe if you pull out again with Lacy your career is over, then the Johnson fight in July, he pulled out again, so i think Joe feels that against the very best he needs to be 100% and i feel that he never will again, i honestly have big doubts if Joe will ever have a huge fight again.

You might be right. I dont know the extent of his injuries in his hand. I have heard it is a problem but I cant see it stopping him from one more big fight. His performance over Lacy made him too popular and there is too much demand to see him. He will be back one way or another. I just hope he waits until his hand is at least 80-85%.

Over their whole careers i have no problem admitting Calzaghe is ahead. But he should be against a 27 year old shouldn't he?

Oh so now you DON'T care

Oh yeah but when Calzaghe looked good against Lacy - he was most definitely the greatest thing since sliced bread - right?

Outside of Calzaghe and POSSIBLY (and i do mean only possibly) Lacy, Kessler could hardly have fought better competition at SMW since stepping up to championship fights (4 fights).

Now if that were to happen...Kess would run the division for quite sometime.

He's got the youth, skills, & abilities to do so.

Kessler`s jab is so accurate; as well as being an offensive weapon, it breaks up his opponents' rhythm in a way that is confounding. Some ppl think all he does is stand in front of his foe & pump out repetitive left jabs, but that isn't true. He's an artist with the jab, very accurate & effective

He's pretty plain in that department really Wack, but he is still green enough to develop them.
Super Middleweight also acknowledge as Kessler's Kingdom when Calzaghe has retire

I dont think Kessler can beat Joe just YET, but like already mentioned, hes young and one of Joes predecessors.

I wish all the bullshit would stop and these two just get in the ring. We will never know until it happens. Have it in neutral territory, like New Zealand , Canada or Australia. Then there will be no excuses.
