Man I aint even gonna touch this one...Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man I aint even gonna touch this one...Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can pretty much sum up ODLH like this:
On the biggest non heavyweight PPV grossing fight ever and biggest stage of his career, ODLH ran!!! That's the truth. I'm sorry.
Oscar was running from one of thee best fighters Tito Trinidad.Originally Posted by albsur2006

You can not compare Baldomir to The Great Tito Trinidad.
GET REAL!
Oscar started at 135 pound and he is argueably the best at 154 today do the math mateOriginally Posted by albsur2006

From what you have seen of Mayweather at 140 (Corely, Brussles, Gatti) and 147 (Mitchell, Judah, Baldomir) you honestly think Mayweather could of beat Chavez, Whitaker, Quartey, Trinidad and Mosley all at 147 pound?
Get off the grass man![]()
Here we go again. Can't you see?! Floyd is trying to be like Oscar. A respected, wealthy, and POPULAR fighter. But he is no where near that level. So while you try and hate on Delahoya and try and make Floyd way bigger than he really is...Oscar is enjoying popularity as a fighter and huge success as a business man. You say he doesn't impress you...well guess what...Floyd beating slow footed, slow punching fighters doesn't impress me either.
Ummm, I think you were too busy sad clicking me to read what I was writing. I don't think anyone will agree with you here. ODLH was a MASSIVE 135 and 140, when he moved up to 147 and above, where he didn't have as much physical advantages, he was ordinary. PBF doesn't belong at 147 and is barely a true 140 pounder and he has dominated every fighter he's face from both weight classes. You can talk about Judah, but let's not forget Judah was the undisputed unified Welterweight champion at the beginning of this year and viciously knocked out a boxing master who fights at 154 (Spinks) to get those belts. And didn't ODLH fight Gatti too? Does that fight not count for ODLH?Originally Posted by Hairdoo
Yeah because it's not like he wasn't boxing Tito Trinidad's ears off.Originally Posted by albsur2006

BAH, Trinidad ENDED CAREERS!!!!
And fighting an undefeated Corrales was "risky"? HA!
Moving up to middleweight and fighting Bernard Hopkins was RISKY!!!!
What are you even saying? Didn't I say at the beginning of this post that I respected ODLH's business sense? All boxers would like to be like ODLH outside of the ring, I SAID THAT!!! Read before writing. But a lot of ODLH popularity came from things outside of the ring like his charisma and his Mexican heritage. Hopkins was one of the best fighters of his era and it took him retiring for him to be accepted by mainstream public. This is EXACTLY WHAT I'M SAYING!!! Some of you are equating ODLH's popularity to his boxing ability and that is not accurate. And who the fuck said that I'm impressed by PBF's win over Baldomir, I started a post called Boring!!! saying how I thought the second half of the Baldy fight was boring and a post saying what a big mismatch this fight was before the fight. What are you talking about? You're confusing ODLH business success with his ring success. PBF will never be a PPV draw because he's not really a charasmatic person, he's not a heavyweight, he doesn't have a brawler's style and he doesn't have the huge Mexican following that the Mexican fighters have. You need to learn about the boxing business before you start talking.Originally Posted by zhubin

OMG!!!! So you're saying that Corrales isn't a P4P puncher at lightweight. If you're saying that then you're just biased. You're talking about arguably the best lightweight of the past 4 years and just because Floyd demolished him, now you're saying Corrales is garbage. Yeah, you're a smart guy. A real genius. BTW, moving up to fight B-Hop actually winning would have been risky. But he lost. Also, ODLH showed up for that fight looking out of shape and flabby, this is Floyd's life, he prepares for fights like it's his last, that's his committment. So say what you want, but Floyd is the best fighter of this era, was ODLH that best fighter of his?Originally Posted by Lyle
I don't click period. Whether someone is big for their weight or not is irrelevent. Fact is ODH has belts at 6 weights PBF has belts at 4 plain and simple. Lets also not forget that Judah was nearly stopped by the feather fisted Baldomir right before he fought PBF and didn't deserve the fight anyway!!Originally Posted by albsur2006
Mayweather hasn't fought anyone listed on a p4p list since Featherweight, Oscar has fought half a dozen. At least we know how good Oscar is, you are just ASSUMING Floyd is as good as you say!! there simply is not enough proof.
It was Oscar that destroyed a 29 year old Gatti!! go and get yourself a tape of Gatti v Robinson and tell me it was the same Gatti Floyd fought?
It is easy to look good when you aren't fighting the best.![]()
Great analysis you dumbass.Originally Posted by 'The Boxer'
