There is no reason to have a rematch he thoroughly beat Sam Peter and Sam Peter hasn't learned ANYTHING from that fight.

Since the loss to Wlad he fought Julius Long and apparently that makes him able to fight tall fighters....HA, I would let my Grandmother fight Julius Long!

And he couldn't beat James Toney

Sam Peter may be good but he won't ever EVER EVER EVER EVER..........EVER beat Wlad

Nicolay Valuev is SHIT he's going to be beat as soon as he takes on a good challenge....if it's true that Briggs is going to fight him then buh bye Giant

.....once again Sam Peter is under performing and I doubt he would beat Calvin Brock.

Sam is fat, his boxing is horrible, and his power is only due to the fact that he rabbit punches...and I'm not just talking about the Klitschko fight....HE ALWAYS DOES IT!!!

C'mon Lyle, you know whats really going on, at least I hope you do and you're just defending your boy. Wlad didn't only hold him to death, he pushed him back cause he's so scared to get punched in the face now and that's another reason he got punched in the back of the head. Everyone is so scared to get hit by Peter they turn their head. If he is so unskilled then why did Wlad have to hold on for dear life? Does that mean he's even less skilled?

Well OK, if Wlad doesn't hold him in a rematch that'll magically change something

The holding was a way to control the distance between Sam Peter and Wlad...having the reach it was the smart thing to do.

EVERYONE IS NOT SCARED OF PETER HE JUST RABBIT PUNCHES!!! And why does he do that? His punches are too wide, and too wild. If he worked the jab and shortened the hook he'd be very good! HOWEVER he's in love with his power and doesn't box worth a damn.

People are sold on Sam Peter because they want another Mike Tyson...well Tyson did the same stuff after his prime...1 punch at a time, wild power shots, no defense.

Look at Tyson in his prime, short quick punches...that's good, that's what Sam NEEDS!!!

Wlad did not have to hold on for dear life it was part of his strategy and it worked which is why all the Peter fans bitch about it....hey let's just tie Wlad's hands behind his back so Sam can win and everyone will be happy!!!

Bx, I see lots of talent in pretty much every fighter and I only harp on their bad points because they can do better. I don't think Sam Peter has a good trainer, I think they just let him go in there with no gameplan and swing for the fences....only VERY SPECIAL fighters were able to do that: Foreman, Tyson, Dempsey and even then they worked their jabs and had decent defense.

Sam Peter just hasn't shown me he has learned how to box or set up his left hook...he just throws it he doesn't throw anything before or after it and his right hand is even worse!!!

There is absolutely no reason for wlad to fight peter again unless he holds a belt, none whatsoever. Peter couldn't get it done the first time around, I don't think he'd get it done the second time around. Peter was about to say bye bye in one of the rounds I'm not sure which one anymore, but I think wlad would be more likely to knock peter out in a rematch, than the other way around, wlad has just to much skill for peter! So wlad held, so what, nothing wrong with that, smartly fought fight! As lyle said I also don't think peter could take brock, he's got power but no skill, power will get you by average fighters, but face someone with some skill and your in trouble usually, I despise toney and I think toney won the fight with peter.

wlad is easily the best hw out there we know that but his chin is bad so anyone with good punching power would have good chance against wlad dont get me wrong i like wlad but his chin isnt so good thats why i really wouldnt like to bet on him vs hard puncher from what ive seen with brewster peter purity sanders fights

I've never seen his fight with purity, but I truly think that in his brewster fight he just ran out of gas, I mean he went all out on a guy that just wouldn't go down. So when the next round came around he just didn't have the energy to stand up any more. Also in the sanders fight, his chin can't be that glassy, he got knocked down 3 time or so and and came back up pretty quickly if I remember right, stupid move on his part, he should have taken a good 8 count, and then tied sanders up to regain some energy, I think if he fought either of those 2 guys again he'd win. I think he just didn't know how to conserve his stamina and how to deal with a pressure fighter. Also if you watch his olympics final he gets hit on the chin numerous times and doesn't even flinch, sure they got the headgear on but his chin is still exposed. His chin might not be the best, but at least when he goes down he comes back up, I just think he needed to learn how to buy some time after getting back up again.

I hope Briggs or Klit get to the giant before he beats Rocky's record!! to see a heavy as bad as him break it would be a shame then lets get the unification on

Did anyone ever think that when we get a unified Champion.

Who in the hell is he gonna fight to prove he's dominant?

Once we get a unified champion all these other "interesting" fights and fighters can't be made because they will have been beaten already

WOW Lyle! Big accomplishment! Wlad beat a guy that he was expected to beat, whose biggest win was against freakin Jameel Mccline! Wladimir will be knocked out again, soon, so live it up while it last Klit fans, live it up while it lasts. Dunno what you guys seen in Wlad Klitschko to begin with or why you like him, but enjoy it while it lasts, because another KO loss is just around the corner. Dunno against who, considerin no one in the HW division stands out, or is consistent, hopefully Toney will be ready to fight Wlad soon though, after he beats Peter again.

    Step backwards for the division.

    Unification is a necessity.
Unification is overrated. As soon as the belts get unified they will be splintered up again. Based on his wins over Peter and now Brock I think Wlad is and should be considered the true Heavyweight champion
Hence the reason that unification is a necessity.

How would it be overratted if the man that you consider to be the true champ is going to make it closer by fighting all the other champs?

Don't just disagree to disagree...have some fluff to stuff that pillow with before you bite it.
Unification is overrated cuz I don't look at Briggs (the 4th rate WBO champion) or Oleg (beat Rahman who was givin his belt) as champions. I guess you do.

Didn't Lewis retire as the lineal champion? so a unification puts it back in place.

Its a shame but the state of that division alone effects the whole boxing, its time we had one recognised Heavyweight Champion.

    Are you serious?
Come on Wlad is the best Heavy. around whats not to like about that guy...
Hes not a shet! talker, he knows his place in boxing and is very humble.....

The fact that his fans seem to think hes the best, is a different story...... But you really can't take nothing away from Wlad, I mean talk about a guy whos moved up the rankings fighting everyone and anyone all you gotta do is go through his record.... Hes taken both his wins & loses all together...

And you gotta credit him for making the adjustments to his fight game...
