I loved that fight. Thought Spinks did a good job.

According to the "scores' Mayorga would have gotten a draw if he hadnt had the points taken. But I thought Spinks beat him.

Yeah and according to the "scores" of the Juarez vs Raheem fight, without the point deductions Raheem still would have lost. Judges scorecards don't mean shat to me about who actually should have won the fight. It was a set up deal, Mayorga was screwed over big time. The man clearly won damn near every round, Cory Spinks didn't even come to box, let alone fight, he ran, refused to ever engage, put no zip on his punches, and was knocked down a couple times. It was pathetic.

I'm a Mayorga fan. But I'm not about to say he came close to winning every round against Cory Spinks. He got outboxed and I'm over it.

Thats hard to believe. That screwjob is what made me such a big Mayorga fan. Seein a proud TRUE champion lose to such a fraud in such a BS decision, how could you not feel for el matador and root for him. It was a damn shame, and a stain on boxing. Decisions like that are what ruin boxing.
