BG...ko 11 hmm peter couldnt get to him except behind the head...so i dunno......question here i think is can toney hurt him Judges dont seem to score "clean effective punches" unless there is visable results ie knock down swelling cuts etc....dont know if toney has the pop now so losing any weight would only make things worse for him......I'll pick Toney by decision.
The ironic thing in that fight though was that Peter's face was busted up and bleeding whilst Toney didn't really have a mark on him.

Yet everyone say Peter landed by far the harder shots
    Agreed. Its bewildering.

Toney may very well shock many by stopping Peter this time out. He knows he can lead and land, and this time out I excpect Peter to take it to Toney and come unstuck. He will struggle to land cleanly. Toney will have the more effective gameplan.....

Toney has 18 months left at the top....he must make it all count now...

Going away from the prediction side of things for a moment...

Im glad to see Toney's preparing his body for the last year or so of his career.
Its clear to see that this is a form of conditioning (in which Cradio WAS metioned) that actually motivates him. Im sure he can maintain his motivation for the remainder of camp.

Thing is, i hope he can maintain it through to say... 2008

As was stated, its not a key agenda of Toney's to slim down to around 220/5 as of course he's facing Peter, a monster of a man, in his next fight.

BUT, after that i hope that Toney choses to dedictate his final months to real conditioning to maybe resemble the sort of shape he was in against Evander.

It would be nice to see Toney retire as an in shape 40 year old

I dont think ive ever found my self in the sort of predicament where my loyalty to a fighter is decided on the scales

**Oh and i pick Toney by SD

Run outdoors 6-10 miles some days do intervals to mimick the rounds, skipping rope, lots of sparring, heavybag and speedbag work, numbers with Freddie (punching drills), shadowbox 5-6 times per week, circuit train with light weights 3-4 times per week, and when you're not training eat breathe and sleep Sam Peter's fight vids and you can save yourself some money and send Billy Blanks home.

I'm not a boxing trainer but this is more or less the approach I would expect to take. Billy Blanks is good at getting folks to lose weight but his tecnique is based upon martial arts style. I don't think Toney should partake in that. He doesn't need interference.

Peter did land the harder shots, the reason you couldn't tell that Tony's face didn't look any different is because it couldn't have swelled up any more than it was before the fight. Peter wasn't busted up and bleeding, look at the pictures after the fight.

Unless he has obese genes, i know it's a high fat diet. I know from personal experience, when i'm eating right, even a little exercise takes my weight down. He must be on a calorie binge.

I doubt it will make any difference, I think Peter will atleast knock him down this time.

Was that after the corner cleaned him up? Because I know during the fight Toney was busting his nose up.

Interesting, James thinks it was an acheivment to just go the distance with Peter in the first meeting.
No one else notice this then ?

You didn't even post the full quote.. Kind of pathetic... Here you go champ. Real interesting huh.

“The first time I beat Peter up and humiliated him,” Toney insisted. “This time I will be both stronger and faster than him. I’ve already shown I can go the distance. For sure this time I’m gonna put his lights out.”
