Easily... Hearns hurt Hagler in the first round of their fihgt, and Hearns doesn't ahve to the power of any of these guys...Originally Posted by X
How can you say G-man couldn't handle punishment either than him and Benn who hits way harder than Hagler going into an all out war? Who did Hagler fight who hit even half as a hard as G-Man?Originally Posted by THE Bigragu

Hearns hit Hagler with the best single punch I ever saw Marvin take. it was the beginning of the first round and Marvin was rushing in and Tommy was against the ropes. Hearns threw a uppercut/cross king of punch and hit Marvin high on the head flush.. I mean Hearns put some leverage on that and Marvin buckled and his face was distorted for a sec and he back off, but he came right back a second later. I never saw a punch land that flush against a guy and he stand up.. Hagler had some chin and the person who said G man or others punched harder than Hearns. No, Hearns had speed and height and that equaled leverage. Hagler had an incredible chin. Any other man would have been on his back with that right hand. Hagler made a bit of a mistake to rush Tommy and the fact he was not hurt was the reason he could keep coming. At that point he realized I better tuck my chin in and throw hard blows since this man can punch and Hagler kept coming and coming. Hearns kept hitting him but I think the broken right hand made it harder to land that leverage. Had Tommy not broken his right hand that would have been very interesting. Something tells me the way Hearns landed to clean a punch against Marvin that he might have kept landing punches and stopped Marvin. but he broke that right hand. Had a little to do with Marvin's hard head. But give Marvin credit. Then when Marvin fought Mugabi, he was hit with clean Mugabi punches and hardly took a backward step. So he takes clean Hearns and Mugabi punches and you guys are saying he could not take G mans punch or Benns? Hearns and Mugabi were probably two of the hardest punching middleweights of all time and certainly of the 80s
Hagler would have gobbled up the G-Man like a Tyrannousaurus Rex at a Diplodocus party!!!
Hagler loved big punching brutes who tried to KO him.
McClellan did have a very good chin, so the fight may have lasted the distance, but Marvin would have busted him up.

Marvin was a wrecking ball, one of the toughest guys to ever put gloves on, NO WAY on earth does gerald beat him. Mclellan hit very hard yes, but marvin would have taken the shots and just kept coming and shut him down, legendary fighter![]()
I don't care who wins this one I would have just loved to see it happen...I was a huge fan of both...Man talk about some hard shotsThese guys would have broke the compubox record on power shots for sure
