Its unfair to compare him to Lacy because he controls range quite well, the way he gets in and out of the pocket by countering is very skillful, he seems to respect that you can't hit whats not there. It could ultimately turn him from just a prospect to a bonafide pro, and possible world champ. Not worth rushing for a quick buck, with some careful matchmaking he could be a champion.

Man those are some fast hands, all he has to do is keep his hands up and fight a few like that and he'll definately be a contender. According to boxrec (I know, I know) he has another fight coming up in February on the Malignaggi / Cherry undercard.

I'm always a bit hesitant about guys like him (is he gonna get hit too much by elite fighters, can he change his style if he had to, that kinda stuff) but he's a good prospect and fun to watch.

Probably the best thing he's got going for him is the handspeed. Makes him a bit more dangerous than your typical pressure fighter. Am not saying he has Manny Pac type handspeed, but handspeed is what really sets Manny apart, and it should help Berto.

That, plus he throws an assortment of punches which he sets up properly with the jab, he digs to the body very well which is a rareity with a lot of young power punchers who like to head hunt exclusively.. again excellent punch selection

This guy has champion written all over him. A little weak on defence, but with an offence like his, i am sure he can still make it to champion status.

Luis Collazo has gone on record to say that if he is facing Shane Mosley, the first person he is getting into his camp for sparring is Berto,that's a statement about Berto's talent imo!!

Thanks Mick. Posted a thread about Berto Last year, 3 or 4 fights ago. Not much response, but i know he's had more exposure since. Thanks again for saving me some time on searching through all those pages. Was gone for about 6 months and didn't see this thread when it was up.

berto a good bxer with power and he dont gett tired. he be with damon dash so hes alredy probaly got it good.
