    yeah, you could say that, or a looping right. throwing a right hook like that guy is doing will never land. unless you've got a guy on the ropes and/or are inside. then you might sneak it in, but generally the only thing it works on is the bag.

    an overhand right is near enuff a straight punch but anything over around 25 degrees bend in the arm is a hook so a right hook as a counter to the jab is highly possible, tbh it works best with a sidestep

    A right hook does exist. That video is not what i have in mind but there is definitely such a thing as a right hook for an orthodox fighter.
