I wouldn't say that Miranda hits as hard as even Bernard... Miranda has a padded record, and is overrated... Taylor would whip his ass.Originally Posted by DaxxKahn

Why is everyone acting like Miranda is Godzilla in the wake of the Gibbs fight. Gibbs sucks. Of course he got sparked. Not only is Taylor the better boxer, but he HITS HARDER than Miranda. Miranda would play right into Taylor's game and get KTFO! The only type of guy that would have against Taylor is a Hopkins/Wright type. I believe Taylor won all three fights, with at worst two wins over Hopkins and a draw against Wright. Miranda isn't even in those guy's league, nor will he ever be. Actually, Due to his style, Mora has a better chance at making Taylor look a silverback gorilla over 12 rounds and edging Taylor for a decision than Miranda does of knocking him out. Miranda will just come forward and walk into a big JT punch.
PS- I don't think Mora will beat Taylor. I just think it's a more likely scenario than Miranda KOing Taylor.
I think you need to watch the Hopkins v. Taylor 1 fight again. Taylor was almost KTFO in one of the latter rounds. Taylor hits harder than Miranda? We'll see.Originally Posted by Brockton Bomber
Lou DiBella doesn't want any part of that fight, and if the truth be known, neither does Taylor.
B.T.W.- Winky outclassed and outboxed Taylor and Taylor was given a gift with D.
Taylor has NEVER had one KO in his entire career and not a TKO in almost 2 years. Granted he has fought some great fighters recently, but he never had these guys close to hurt. The power is starting to become a big question!
JT have good power, you can hear the concussive force on impact. See when a fighter rise in class , fewer of his opponents will canvas out. because better fighters roll with shots in a way that take some of the mustard off your shot, make fewer mistakes and they are generally more motivated from a mental stand point.Originally Posted by Pantera

I've never seen Bernard break someone's jaw like Miranda broke Abrahams. That was some scary power there.Originally Posted by Taeth
Miranda is without a doubt a powerhouse for that division. As far as defense and boxing skills in general it leaves something to be desired, but the one thing he does have is ridiculous power.

I'd agree with that for the most part, Abraham had him flustered during much of their fight with the counter punches. I think Taylor could take it, but he would definately be hurt by the end.Originally Posted by oakleyno1

I would agree with that except...did JT really show intelligence against Winky? When? He didn't push hard in the 12th round against Winky in a close fight and was backed up way way way too much and relied upon brute strength, force and his bigger size to win rounds and against B Hop,again, neither fighter did much of anything..so I don't think JT showed great intelligence and trying to KO Ouma in the first 3 rounds was a poor poor move on his part.Originally Posted by oakleyno1
Taylor is nowhere as technically gifted as some make out so I'd think Miranda would have a chance ESPCIALLY as JT backs up alllll the time, which would allow Miranda to come forward with those bombs. I mean his record speaks for himself and although he needs to improve technically,if he can pop a good jab and tidy up a bit more,I think he gives JT a hard hard fight.
Although Miranda may be getting a bit overhyped, heck I'm a bit guilty of it too,you cannot help but love the guys style, power and attitude!! I want to see him fight Abraham and then fight Taylor.
Got to disagree with you both...as much as I hate to.Originally Posted by killersheep
I don't really dig on Miranda that much. Not to much a fan of his attitude or his lack of ring generalship...but he's a hard hitter with a pretty good amount of heart & confidence & that's something that I believe Taylor truly lacks.
Taylor has done well against smaller fighters but when pitted against Hopkins & Wright he buckled like a belt. Also...Ouma did quite fine pressing him backwards.
Miranda backing him up will be what ends Taylor. No way Taylor can take his power & Miranda has a decent chin. I think he'd work his way past Taylor's jab as everyone of merit lately has been able to do. Facing your sparring partners, smaller men, & contenders moving up in weight made Taylor look fantastic...but ever since he stepped up in competition...he's looked bad.
Miranda would blast him out & Taylor sure as stink offa shit wouldn't be able to back Miranda up.

I think this would be a great fight to watch. Taylor hasnt faced anybody with Miranda's power and the way he has voluntarily backing up the last couple of fights could get him in trouble against Miranda.
Miranda hasnt faced anybody on the same level as JT and it would be a difficult fight for him. His best chance would be when JT is backing up
The fight would go one of two ways: Miranda by late (T)KO or JT by decision.

CC back Wack,I agree with your points too.
Miranda did fight a good fighter in Abraham though and he did well against that super tight guard and JT's D is nowhere near that good. And you nailed it too,the way JT backs up involuntairly,I mean he's usually the bigger guy,he should be imposing his will and backing up the opponent!! Miranda was stunned by Abaraham a few times though but to his credit,he KEPT coming forward. Wouldn't Miranda be the biggest guy JT has fought too so may be he would not be able to use his brute strength to get him out of trouble.Originally Posted by TyBuff
