I think we should bet that there will be a record number of low blows in this fight, because there will be.
Both fighters tend to do that and both fighters cut relatively easy.

Here's how I break it down

    Both Brawlers
    Both Have good chins
    Both fight almost exclusively inside
    Both fight dirty
    Both cut relatively easy
    Hatton is Faster and younger
    Castillo is stronger
Hatton has had 2 tough fights (Tszyu and Collazo)
Castillo has had many tough fights (Mayweather twice, Corrales twice, Casamayor, Lazcano)
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

If your thought Hatton had his skirt lifted in his last fight, wait till he faces Castillo a guy that is twice as tough and rough as him, and a guy that will fight him just as dirty as he is. Castillo is going to wreck this kids face.

Hatton didn't look like no monster in his last fight. And he was facing a guy who was willing to fight. As oppose to Reyes who ran all night from Castillo
    Very true.

Agree with everything except may be about Castillo being stronger? I don't think we can say that for sure until we see him a the weight. And those tough fights may have taken their toll on JLC.

well thats better for hatton then he hasnt had as many wars as castillo so he wont be as battle worn as castillo and i doubt there will be ko in this one but i see there being quite few knockdowns

that was his first time at that weight and he didnt have proper time either to get into the weight id wait and see if he fights at that weight again to see if welterweight can suit his body or light welterweight is perfect for him i see alot of people doubt hatton after close fight people forget it was his first time at that weight and he still performed well collazo was slick and boxer and fought very well in that fight

OK here is my counter-offer on the sig-bet

Clause # 1, failure to make weight (by either fighter) cancels said bet
Clause # 2 DQ of either fighter, cancels said bet
Clause # 3 A win by decision, TKO or KO wins the bet

And again I would like to use "__________ is the most brilliant poster on this forum and in fact the world"

    sign here if you agree

I really hope this fight happens, it could take place in a 5 foot square ring, cause it's gonna be in-fighting all night long.

Yeah but people still love to dismiss that. HBO had no big names in the 140 division for him to fight so he chose to fight a world champion at 147. F*ck me but does that not exuse him for a one bad performance. Collazo is a good hard fighter and he fought back like a true champion.

I can't think of a single time Hatton has thrown an intentional low blow other than after Tszyu hit him low twice, and I've seen all but 2 of his pro fights.

If Castillo doesn't beat Hatton into silly putty...I'll be shocked.

He will be hitting JLC low BACK I like JLC but there is no doubt in my mind he will start out with the low blows.

How do you think Hatton would fare v Corrales?

He'd stop Corrales pretty easily. Corrales is just to open for such a tall fighter & it wouldn't surprise me if he stopped him on body shots.

Agreed, I have all his fights and he has never resorted to anything like that but it might make his opponents think twice after the Tszyu retaliation

Thats fair, although even Corrales sank a few left hooks into Castillo, either way I hope this one comes off, it'll be what both Hatton and Castillo fans want to see!
