Phillips did okay. But he didn't win. Hell he was almost stopped in the last 2 rounds.
I agree. But I took from that fight that when the Spinks fight here came up that Spinks could outbox Ouma. Spinks is a lot better then Phillips. And Phillips didn't win, no he didnt. But whats his name Branko? He didnt beat Gatti but he gave him enough trouble to dispell any thought that gatti would ever beat mayweather.

Verno gave Ouma enough trouble that wouldn't have me pick Ouma against Spinks. And I love Kassim Ouma, I don't think he'll beat Spinks.

The reason Phillips didn't win was cuz he could never hurt Ouma. Ouma was still throwing over 70 punches in the 10th round. His stamina is outstanding. Spinks stamina is not. Look how he tired at the end against Karmazin and Judah. I was wrong once about Spinks. I picked him to lose against Karmazin. You picked Spinks. Spinks won. And I gave both you credit. But this one is different. Ouma's stamina and volume punching I think would be to much for Spinks. Especially with his stamina being weak.
I think it was more because it was Spink's first fight at 154. But we'll have to see Spinks in his next fight to see how he looks.

Well, he should look good against Jones. Don't you think? Or you think Jones is gonna give him trouble?

Hes decent, BUT if he were to give Spinks trouble then clearly IMO it has to do with weight. A 'Jones' fighter wouldn't give Spinks any trouble at Weleter. Wadda' ya think?

I've never seen Rodney Jones fight But its a fight that Spinks is supposed to look very good in. So he should look good, not a world beater but good enough to peak interest in an Ouma fight. But if he underestimates Jones he may be in for a rude awakening.

Spinks needs to stay at 154. He struggles to make 147 as it is. Plus at welter he's at the best 3rd best. Mayweather beats him pretty easy and i think Cotto would destroy his body. Williams and Spinks I think would make for a good fight.

I didn't know he was struggling to make 147, hes body frame ain't that big? He must have heavy bones....

Cintron's a joke. Spinks would shut him out. Collazo-Spinks would be interesting. Toss up i say. Spinks-Quintana has the makings of a boring ass fight, Spinks by SD.

IF he gives Spinks trouble and Spinks still wins, Spinks can still campaign at 154 pounds.

From what Cunningham and everyone is focusing on who's ducking Spinks they may not have the time for training, I mean I think that Spinks is underestimating Jones because he feels its a big step down. And as skilled as Spinks is he COULD look spectacular, but if he tries to he will look bad

Well, he should look good against Jones. Don't you think? Or you think Jones is gonna give him trouble?
I've never seen Rodney Jones fight But its a fight that Spinks is supposed to look very good in. So he should look good, not a world beater but good enough to peak interest in an Ouma fight. But if he underestimates Jones he may be in for a rude awakening.
Agreed. So 'IF' Jones gives Spinks trouble wadda' ya think he should do, I mean you said making Welter. is a no, no for Spinks.

    I see your point.

Spinks is a decent fighter I guess but I think if Ouma turns up,he wins. I think the sheer volume from Kassim will overwhelm Spinks. And I think Karmazin would beat Spinks in a rematch. The idiot should have let his hands go more!!! I'd like to see Karmazin Ouma 2 if Ouma was really ill although I think Roman would still beat him,he's too powerful.
