1)PBF-Good resume, not the best but good, plus I just think he's the best
2)Winky-Tough call between him and Pac, they've both fought great comp, maybe Pac's is better lately, but Winky hasn't been clearly beaten since Vazquez a long time ago
3)Pac-Could be two, hell, could be one
4)MAB-more on accomplishments now, not totally sure he's a top five fighter anymore but still a great fighter plus all the great wins
5)Castillo-I've said time and again I don't see how he's not on the upper half of everybody's list. Great accomplishments, great fighter. If it wasn't for the inactivity, he might be 4th
6)Taylor-Must be doing something right, three very competitive fights with two of the best. Good fighter whether I like him or not.
7)Rafael Marquez-Doesn't have the accomplishments of the top six but a great fighter with some good to great wins.
Joel Casamayor-Could easily make a case that he's undefeated against great opposition.
9)Ricky Hatton-Slipping a bit but still there
10)JMM-Honestly didn't know who to put here. I have a problem putting JMM on cause he doesn't have a great win, I thought he lost to Pac. Still a great fighter, and you could make a case he won the Pac fight, or at least deserved a draw.
Missed the cut
Calzaghe-Just doesn't make the fights. A waste of great talent.
Corrales-Just think he's kind of done, but you could make a case for a spot for him
Lorenzo Parra-Needs one more good to great win, great fighter though.
Joan Guzman-Again, needs a big win, but has the talent to someday make the list
Cotto-Honestly surprised at the votes for Cotto. I've come around and officially become a fan but even though he's undefeated, you have to look at the competition, its good solid competition but its not P4P level.
James Toney-A clear cut win over Peter, I thought the first was clear cut but oh well, along with all his accomplishments would be enough.
Israel Vazquez-Beat Rafael Marquez and he'd be clearly on there. Without a doubt.
Calderon-You know, he's great, but he needs a big time opponent to make the step up.
Sure I'm forgetting some, Hopkins would be on, but I'll see what's going on with him first.

Here's mine (reposted from another thread a while ago):
1. PBF (technically, he's just on another level; you can complain about his competition, but name someone from 130 to 154 who could actually beat him; Wright is the only possibility)
2. Wright (may be falling off a bit on the D, but it's still 2nd only to Floyd's, and has yet to legitimately lose; extremely technically sound)
3. Pac (#1 in terms of entertainment, but he's got some obvious flaws, which Floyd and Winky don't)
4. Taylor (2 (controversial) wins over B-Hop when B-Hop was #1 p4p followed by a draw with #2 Winky--even if the decisions were off, the fights were VERY close)
5. Hopkins (moving straight from MW to the LHW championship--nuff said)
6. R. Marquez (needs better fights, but is definitely the man at the lower weights--he'll KTFO Vasquez if that fight happens, for real)
7. Barrera (but agreed he's past his prime--won't likely make this list next year)
8. Castillo (and he ain't going nowhere but up when he beats Hatton)
9. Calzaghe (if he beats Taylor, Hopkins or Wright he cracks the top 5, but I'm not expecting any of those to actually get made)
10. Mosely (looked back to form in the last fight, granted it was against a punching bag--but he'd dominate 147 (except Floyd if he's still there) if he moved back down like he keeps saying he will)
JMM and Casamayor are 11 and 12. Cotto 13. Hatton 14. But Cotto's stock is rising, for sure.
Wacko, re Hopkins--he's got a June or July date set (vs. TBA), so I consider him still alive and kicking. I think he stays on until he's unquestionably retired, which I never believed he was in the first place.
Good list babe.Originally Posted by shza

You're right Wack,I think I should have JMM there somewhere but where?? He does not have the big name he needs yet, like Cotto. But maaaaaaaaan,is it me or could that P4P list be like TOTALLY different by the end of next year,I mean most of those guys are fighting each other!!!!
WACK,I disagree with JLC,wins over SteviE jOnston, giving PBF his toughest fight,KTFO cORRALES,beat Casamayor,lAzacano,Diaz, that's ALOT of goood names there my man.
I disagree with anyone that puts B Hop on their list, because I just don'r rate Tarver and I can't have him there after he lost twice to JT.oNE DAY THE MAN is retired, the next he comes back, that's annoying. And SHZA,you know you're one of ym fave posters BUT NO NO NO WAY does SSM make the list. 2 wins over a shot Vargas does NOT qualify you for p4p! No way! And we'll see if he dominates 147,people keep thinking this is the Shane and the WW division of old,it's not, there are young lions like Cotto, slicksters like Collazo, powerhouses like Cintron and just pure power punching machines like Williams and of course,Tony. A win over Vargas is in no way an indicator he would bea ANY of these guys.
I forgot Casamayor,he's close though.
Marquez, IWO, deserves the right to be on the P4P list due to the fact that he's been on it before...& not just ours...I can't see knocking him off based on a hometown decision...but this is the forum's list...not mine.Originally Posted by El Gamo
Got KTFO by Corrales too. Agreed that there are good names on his resume...but I dunno...I just don't dig.Originally Posted by El Gamo
As far as Bernard goes...I'm shocked to here that. He was running 20-0 until the first debacle of the Taylor fight...came back & beat the #1 175er. If he aint retired...then I say he deserves it...but then again...it's the forum's list...not mine.Originally Posted by El Gamo
No way in hell on that one babe. I can flex on the others...but I can't agree with you on him.Originally Posted by El Gamo

Wlad and Chris John should be considered.
Juan Manuel Marquez is not worthy on such a list and he lost clearly to Chris John
#4: Marco Antonio Barrera
#5: Rafael Marquez
#6: Joel Casymore
#7: Juan Manuel Marquez
#8: Joe Calzaghe - would have him higher, but he needs a bg fight, JT, mirand, hopkins or winky
#9: Ricky hatton - one bad fight with collazo, but i think it was a one off and there will be alot mroe to come form him
#10: Wlad Klitchkov, i think hes very underrated and doesn't get enough credit 'coz of the lack of talent in his devision.
Just missing out
Cotto, doing fantasticly, just needs to beat one more name at WW and he will brake his way in.
Castillo, if active i would sneak him in at 10, but untill he fights, or fights a named guy he misses out
Taylor, as of late i think totaly overrated, he lost to winky and looked fucked after 3 rounds with a dut like ouma, no way is that P4P atm.
Corales, just don't feel he is good enough atm
Israel Vazquez - one good fight away form braking in the list imo
Hopkins - retired, no matter how much you love him imo no way can he be included untill he fights again.
I think I may have to accomodate JMM Wack, you have won me over there. Casamayor is close for me but not quite though.
Hillarious. You clearly did not see the fight...nor do you take in the fact that John aint done a single thing else to warrant him being on the list...hence the reason nobody voted for the man.Originally Posted by Gun Tommy

Well...it is tuff not putting him on the list...especially a world reknowned shadey assed decision & the fact that he's pulled out two impressive comeback fights & is set to match Marco Antonio Barrera too boot.Originally Posted by El Gamo

Chris John smashed Marquez no matter what you said - and how the hell could you rate Marquez higher than John? Oh, I forgot....it is just because he is an American....just like Lacy beat Tsypko....
If you ask for suggestions - then do not be a child when you get those....!!!!
Who's angry. I just disagreed with you & then stated that clearly did not see the fight...which you did not disagree with.Originally Posted by Gun Tommy

Also...as far as being childish...children often have to learn things by association, repetition, & studying to gain knowledge...which you have very little of me.
Out of all of my favorite fighters...maybe 3 are American...so child...try not to appear so uneducated.
Also...if you want to bring up Lacy Tsypko...there's a nice little hometown decision that you could make a comparison the the John Marquez fight.
Don't be a chump...think before you jump.
