He wasn't that dominate. He was more unsure of himself.

He only started coming on at the 8th round.

Things might be a bit different this time...Peter blocked, boxed, & gave Toney hell last night...& unless I just missed it on another thread...I've still heard you give him zero credit for it.

No I haven't given him credit for it.....whoopty do....impressive but it's only impressive because this time he did what he was supposed to.

I don't think Sam Peter will beat Wladimir...he'll flat out crush Oleg if he fights him the way he just fought Toney but then again people forget how inconsistant this division can be.

I still, no matter how good Sam Peter is....don't think he'll beat Wladimir.

Wlad is an oddity, clearly the most skilled fighter in the dividion but he has trouble with two things...1) if someone else dictates the pace of the fight 2) a fighter that can take a good punch...

Ross Purity forced Wlad to fight outside of a pace that Wlad could handle...Corrie Sanders bull rushed Wlad and Wlad could not deal....Brewster weathered the storm and started pressing Wlad and he folded...Williamson ran then pressed and Wlad had big trouble....

Manny has taught Wlad how to dictate the pace of a fight by fighting like Lennox....stay outside, quick combos...stay away or grab and be boring until your opening...The first time Wlad and Peter fought the pace was aweful and easily dictated by Wlad, but still Peter had his moments...

While both fighters are better since the 1st fight Peter is by far the more dramatically improved fighter ....Wlad will not be able to clutch and grab as in the first fight because Peter now knows how to fight, I like Peter but that's MO....Either way, this is by far the best fight that could be made in the heavyweight division.

He doesn't usually have trouble if the guy can take a good punch.....he has trouble if that guy can hit back hard.

Peter might have improved the most but he had the most to improve on

Great point. His margin for improvement was hugh. Stmina, movement, straightening punches, stayin in the middle of the ring and fighting "Tall." But by golly he did it to my amazement. If he can improve that much in a matter of months and lose 4 more pounds, he may become areal force to be reckoned with. Wlad has simply smoothed out his excecution of punishing jabs with a great follow up right. More importantly, he has more confidence under Steward, It would be a great fight. Too early to break it down.

A mega super fight. I'd travel to Germany for that one. But not Nigeria...with all due respect.

You are a bitter queen. God, I've never really noticed how badly you took the whole Peter Wladimir match. Hillarious.

"Nobody knocks my boy down three times!!!! Nobody."

Try to be a grown up about it Lyle...or try to look at it from a contenders point of view...in 29 fights he's won 4 titles, dropped the current number 1 heavyweight, and just defeated a hall of fame fighter.

Pretty good to be so raw & limited.

He is quickly closing the skills gap. Who in God's name is teaching him? That's one of the best kept secrets out there. That guy ought to get manager of theyear.

He still got hit by practically every right hand Toney threw and Toney is shorter and doesn't hit as hard as Wlad does.
