I am looking forward to this fight - Hatton in Vegas, with Jose Luis Castillo on the undercard, is a great night of blood & guts hopefully.
Me too! Certainly has the potential to be a good night of quality fights.. I'm anxious to see how JLC looks there will be some ring rust but he's a hard nosed steele willed SumBitch

a fighter is always gonna have some kind of pains going into a fight. only on a rare occasion is everything going to be 100% fight night. That’s when mental toughness comes into play, and Ricky damn sure have that ! sore hands , sore back, sore arms, it's all part of the boxing game. you ask Ugando, and if he were to answer honest, he has some pains also.. However the idea is to conceal what ails you. look for Urango to target Rickys arms and shoulders in this match !

Na, im just playin anyway. Just peeved that this has happened so near to the fight and my main concern is he cant train hard enough to cut the gut!
The gut as you say is already gone fella, I know your 'just playin' but if you read the other reports around, Kerry Kayes has said he is already below the weight they would like him to be down too at this moment in time ? so losing a couple of days of sparring they probably dont have weight issue's surrounding that, at a guess that is ?

Taking the fight on short noticed was his excuse. Pretty stupid excuse considering Collazo also took it on short notice

Did Collazo also move up a weight class at late notice too?

    Yes or no.

I'd rather hear about this now instead of after the fight.

Short notice, weight change, court date with Warren, first fight on HBO, Calzaghe didn't read him a bed time story the night before. How many excuses is Hatton and his groupies going to use?

I just cannot understand why the hell people hate on Hatton, he's never made an excuse in his life - read the article again and you'll see he's literally informing people of how is camp is going, which despite this minor injury, they say is going pretty damn well. There would be no excuses after the fight form team Hatton if he lost.

Also he's a genuinely nice guy who's stood by his roots and hasnt moved to some flashy mansion just cus he's rich. He's humble - "If i can be half the champion Kostya was i'll be extremely happy with my career". I just cannot understand why people hate on Hatton. Only thing i can think of is the collazo fight but Hatton and his team only said they struggled with the weight and he felt he didnt perform to his abilities.

Compare this Toney and many others in the game and he's a preety damn nice guy. Why the hate ?

Why? Because some people are stupid. hahaha

I'm just joking! I love the short bus. haha

I don't know, but the Hatton hate is a brewing and steaming.
He is a nice guy and he does take on challenges. Callazo was and is dangerous for any fighter.

Hatton looks to be facing Castillo soon. So I'm happy.

i can see a lot of boy's are taking this opportunity to have a few digs at hatton. as far as i can see this source was taken from hatton's own site where he and his team were simply informing his fans on the progress of his fight preperation. and if any of you had seen how hatton trains and seen his tempo when he's thrashing billy graham's body bag you would see that it would be very easy to get an injury. he's like an animal and of course he could injure himself.
i think it was a bit low that a lot of you used this as a chance to lay some more hate on ricky. grow up

Well not for Nothing MR. Birdy, but its fair game you know that.... Boxers have fans and haters, Believe you me between being a Mayweather, Holyfield and Lacy fan I feel like I'm always posting off my back foot It sucks but the past couple weeks I have learned to take that stuff less personally.. Its kinda like trying to convince someone to eat a type of food they dont like, no matter how delicious you think mushrooms and onions are good on your steak the thought of that make somepeople sick you'll never convince someone to eat it.. I was never really a Ricky Hatton supporter but the past few months the little chap has grown on me, if nothing more he is quite a gracious young man. The weight jokes are all in fun but I will say he always comes into his fights in great condition..
