    Tyson clearly would have lost.

Hit bit his ear after giving it all in round two realizing that his style had no effect on Holyfield.

Watch the fight again, this time ,holyfield wasn't kicking his ass onthe inside, and Tyson was landing the right hand from the outside, still not sure if he would have fallen apart, but Holyfield had to resort to his cheap ass tactics to compete.

Give me a break here Taeth......Tyson got whipped mentally even prior to physically,he saw Holyfield was not moving after feeling his bombs and deteriorated, things get rough,he should fight more & whine less. They are not sipping tea and knitting sweaters in there.Holyfield did not "need to resort to cheap ass tactics" to win.The timing in & out, counter rights, left hooks off the tight inside turn and jab were doing just fine!!

Thanks for bringing this topic up, because I don't think I've read it enough the other 89 times it's been posted.

Yeh I agree, I only saw Tyson gettingon top after the 1st bite and even then it was just a few punches we are talking about. I see Holyfiled stopping him late

Who wins if Holyfiled fights Tyson in 1991 - now there's a question

Although I thought Tyson was superhuman (even in 91) I always said to my mates that I thought Holyfield had the tools (and heart) to beat him - and I think he would have

    Not against 1988 Tyson though

thing is what gameplan would he use big h would holyfield brawl with tyson like he did vs bowe in first fight or use his skills like he did vs bowe in 2nd fight i think 2 nd option might be better because remember how badly holyfield got shook up against cooper and that was 1991 i think

Agreed! Headbuts are effective but illegal.

If the fight was made back in 1991 i think Holyfield would of lacked the muscle behind the hustle and Tyson would of had his wicked way with Holy!

1988 would of been a walk in the park IMHO.

BTW I think Holy only beat Bowe in the 2nd fight cause Bowe was outta shape

i dunno about this one. holyfield was butting a lot and definately bossed the first round, but tyson had success at the end of the second and through out the third. the fight didn't go on long enough to predict, but you could say that evander had tyson's number cos he dominated so much in the first fight. i reckon tyson had every chance of winning this fight and if he was gettin butted so much should have just butted back.

plus tyson had cut eye if i remember right so it wouldnt of lasted much longer because holyfield would of kept rubbing his head into the wound like most boxers do
