    Gotta respect that.
Yeah, I always wanted to see him fight Lewis. I think Lewis let the IBF belt go instead of fighting him. As much as I liked Lewis, I lost a little respect for him for dodging that one.

I always thought that Byrd would have been a hell of a Cruiserweight!!!!....His skills would have been enough to outbox anyone in the division and his KO % would have rose...For the Lewis ducking him thing.. ...I don't think so...It would have been a KO win for Lewis....Byrd was slick and tended to make guys look bad but Lennox was a better than just good boxer...He was no TUA who without the KO punch is pretty much in the loss catagory

Yeah good points. I have always like Byrd personally, if they was to fight now at cruiser i would side with Byrd. Much rather see RJJ stay at light heavyweight and avoid another embarrasing KO at highter weights.

Chris Byrd IS a class act and is the only fighter at heavy I have ever seen that avoided no one...

The thing that hurt him fighting at Heavy is when he believed he was a heavyweight and started to fight like one to please the fans and critics...The masterpiece he put on against Tua was great...and most forget he was fighting to plan against Ibeabuchi prior to getting overconfident and sitting on the ropes then getting KTFO...but then again at least he stepped in against IKE, most wanted nothing to do with him...LL and Toney would not go near him, with good reason...

I believe Chris beats the current version of Roy handily @ Cruiser, but that's IMO...
