this is a very ,very good match up...i think jmm will win a very close decision..mab will box and slug a bit,the key for jmm is not to counterpunch but to initiate the action,if he fails .mab may get the decision..as i said, mab will gamble a little by engaging jmm from time to time becoz jmm is not as aggressive as pac..this will be a tactical fight.

Actually Marquez fought Pacman to a draw before Morales beat manny convincingly... So to say that Morales crumbled under his attacks but JMM didn't isn't fair at all. We'll see how Marquez can do against Barerra, and then Pac in a rematch.. He would need to win both of those fights to be in MOrales league, honestly
I think JMM is already there ! the most under appreciated fighter in the sport IMO
JMM isnt in Morales league if we are being honest . Or atleast he hasnt proven it yet . I think Jmm beat Pac but the point is it was a draw . A faded Morales at teh tail end of his career beat Pac convincingly so imagine what he would have done in his prime.

Eriks leagacy has long been sealed . JMM is yet to win a superfight so he has to beat Barrera and Pac this year just to considered on the same level as his Mexican rivals .

berrera would be a brilliant win for him and he would get a lot of credit for it; but pac is his biggest fight for him to win, pac is in his prime, on fire, barrera most seem to think is past it JMM wouldn't be beating a prime barrera come march...

Thats the problem for anyone fighting Barrera now . People beleive he is in decline and wont get the full credit for winning . Barreras already said this is his last year and the things he says suggests that the fire isnt burning as strong as it once was , with children at weig ins etc and the old typical intensity and anger not there anymore .

Its a good job for Marquez too cuz Barrera in his prime makes mincemeat outta him . Now its a close fight cuz Barrera will probably box and so will JMM making this a distance fight filled with counterpunching . I hope JMM is true to his word and does stand more cuz that will bring out the best in Barrera . A Mexican rival willing to fight will make this a great fight so I hope it goes down that route .

this could be a big break for JMM!!!
if he pulls this one, i hpoe he will not pass another chance of rematch with pac.
imo he can win against barrera but it will take the whole 12 rounds.

It would be most refreshing to see someone who has been in it a long time, faced so many tough fighters, and then to go out on a high....I hope it happens...

was no bad blood between barrera or morales in thier first fight, and that was the best of the lot

this is a MASSIVE prolly the biggest fight of JMM's career so far, and i honestly think barrer wnats to go out on a bang, and wnats pac next, so i think this will be top notch

I have mixed feelings about this fight. On one hand, we finally get to see these two great Mexican fighters finally face off...and it should be a great fight. Both are highly skilled and both have shown they can go to war. But for Barrera...you know he wants to ultimately go out with a fight with Pac. With Manny's management and promotional disputes...their rematch never materialized. Now...Manny will face a solid but not great challenge in his next fight. Marco will fight a great opponent and face a great challenge. How much will this fight take out of him? I felt he had one last great performance left in him. If he is able to beat Marquez...can he muster another physical and mental performance against Pac? I actually am one of the few that feels Barrera could give major problems, and potentially beat, Pac in a rematch. But another potentially great battle with Marquez would not help his chances. Either way...i give him tremendous respect to fight the caliber of fighter in Marquez....knowing he will most likely fight Pac as well. Marco has always come back strong and risen to challenges. Excited to see what happens.

some of the best action packed matches are between good friends . a macho thing transpires in there, and the next thing you know you and your buddy are trying to tear each others heads off in what turns out to be a very crowd pleasing spectacle. ! I am sure that will be the case here ! These fighters are stand up guys, I suspect neither fighter is expecting quarter and I am confident non will be given

Barreras not going to need to go to war in this 1 . I dont imagine it will take too much out of him cuz he has the handspeed and brains to win this 1 at a distance . Marquez is a very tough challenge but Pac is the fight where Barrera calls upn all his reserves and shows his heart . This one with Marquez ismuch more of a tactical fight dispite what the guys are saying in the build up .

Wouldnt it be great if Barrera won both fights this year and retired as champ .
