Sam Peter may have improved but he hasn't improved enough to beat Vitali Klitschko and I doubt he has improved enough to beat Wladimir either.

I'm not being a hater I'm just being real with everyone, Sam is talented and should take out Maskaev easily and I think he could beat almost anyone in the division not named Klitschko. I am a Klitschko fan but I don't take that into account when thinking about a fight between Sam Peter and either Klitschko brother....Sam just hasn't shown the consistency to take out either fighter
Klitschko hasn't fought since early 04. He isn't a lock to beat anyone, much less the hottest guy in the division outside of Wlad.

Why not just have Vitali and Peter box for the Emeritus title. It seems to garner allot of weight with the W.B.C. And then we would be certain who the true champ is.

I'm sure if they thought it would sell they would do it without a doubt.

Just out of curiosity I wander what would happen if Lennox Lewis decided to come back now?

I mean he was the true WBC champ after all and retired undefeated. Klit only won the vacant belt so I guess if Lewis announced his intention to come back them Vital would be sidelined and Lewis would get first shot as the Grand Ultimate Emeritus Champion or something.

Well it doesn't really matter now does it

If Sam fights Maskaev or Vitali or Lewis (if he was to come back) Sam would lose to Lewis and Vitali tomorrow, the next day, and the next.

Say Sam fights Maskaev first and wins whoopty do.....how long would he have the title for anyways

I know you're not at all high on Peter, but he did drop Wlad 3 times. And he has improved a lot since. And Wlad is far and awa he better Klitschko now imo.

Vitali has outboxed and KO'd many opponents tougher than Sam Peter and since Wladimir has already outted the flaws of the great Sam-dini it would just be EASIER for Vitali to beat him.....besides how do you rabbit punch someone with Vitali's style That's Sam's claim to fame

You're not taking into account that he has fought 24 rounds with James Toney, Lyle. You can honestly sit there and say he is the same boxer that fought Wladdy before C'mon!!
That's ridiculous. Peter has improved considerably and Vitali hasn't fought since late 2004! Peter has been consistently more active, and he is also the younger, hungrier fighter. Vitali is just trying to settle an old score for getting KTFO by Maskaev in the amateurs. I can't say that I blame him, though. And it's good he wants to redeem himself from a K.O. loss.
It's much easier for Vitali to take the path of least resistance and fight Maskaev. Why would he jeopardize getting KTFO by Peter? I guess that Peter can pummel his stupid looking milk-boy face in and then decide to retire for a couple of years while holding the 'EMERITUS' title. I doubt that he will do that, though. Instead, I think Peter will do his best to unify the titles.

Sam is one of the most dominant Heavyweights out there right now. He has the potential to hold that title for a long time, Sam is improving every time out. the more he fights and get good experience the less likely someone will beat him . .. Vitali just wanted to jump in and win the belt before Peter grabbed it.. Maskeav is perceived to be the lesser threat , an easy win in Vitali's mind.. Peter is much more of a live challenge. I would love to see Peter do well vs. Maskieav, then knock out the Klit and go from there ! . Peter is good for boxing ! an exciting style, terrific work rate. and excellent power ! just what the heavyweight divison needs ! no more 6'7 boring ass heavyweights !

Sam Peter deserves the title shot.....Vitali was promised one, the WBC caused this mess and they should fix it.

What bothers me is that people don't understand why Vitali would want to go ahead and get a title shot and they blame him for something the WBC promised him.

But if Vitali is going to take a tune up I suggest James Toney because JT would get flattened by Vitali and we'd actually see someone who was SUPPOSED to KO James Toney.... KO James Toney
    if only........that would be perfect!!!!
It feels good to be back home.

When the hell did James Toney cement his legacy at heavyweight?

VS Maskaev, Vitali has a history .......VS Peter it's already been done by his brother

Doesn't matter much IMO....Vitali will have a title before all is said and done

He wom't get it fighting Peter. Here's my prediction: Peter will knock both klits out before the year is done if they dare get in the ring with him.

Agreed. C.C. The two ShitKo brothers will get their heads handed to them.

.....and you call me a nut hugger

Wladimir was just off of his weakest performances in his career and he takes Sam's punches and wins almost every round and yet Sam Peter will KO him this year? hahahaha

Vitali has NEVER been knocked down and Sam Peter is too slow to catch him. Vitali has taken FLUSH shots from Lennox Lewis and Corrie Sanders, Sam Peter is not on the same level as them.

Sam Peter will never beat Wladimir or Vitali....he MAY be able to Shannon Briggs but that dude is waaaaaay past his prime
