If he thinks being 2 rounds ahead after only 6 rounds gives him more of a claim to be the winner of that fight, than bein the guy that inflicted so much damage on his opponent that they needed 50 stitches, had to be stopped by the doctor for their own safety and was out of the ring for 9 months the he is delusional. Makes me laugh when people say Klitchko was winning, taKe a look at the guys face, who looked like they won that fight LMAO

Please consider signing the petition to the WBC
to sanction the heavyweight boxing match between
the current WBC Champion, Oleg Maskaev and Vitali
    Klitschko, "Champion Emeritus".

It's not odd that people who think Vitali craps gold will make all the excuses in the world for him. Truth is, if a motivated Lewis would have took him up on his
offer and gave him a rematch, he would have been KTFO. Klitschko was gassed out and getting ready to lay down.

Lewis gave it his best and yeah he didn't prepare to fight Vitali but all you dicks forget that Vitali didn't prepare to fight Lewis either!

Gased out! That's bullshit, Vitali took Lewis' hardest round and was still standing and I think Vitali had his second wind.

It's a moot point to argue about it now, the only people making a big deal out of it are the Vitali haters who don't like the fact he may get a title shot over Sam Peter.

Vitali lost vs Lennox Lewis but he did so in a manner that captured the attention of everyone in boxing and gave one of boxings most dominant champions a run for his money. And people have still not figured out how to accept that the way the fight ended left a lot of loose ends and controversy.

    good shout lyle.
lewis was a bit ill prepared for the klitchiko fight. probably more ill prepared than vitali was so that shit about vitali being gassed out is crap. and lewis was looking a bit chunky in that fight aswell. vitali did give lennox a run for his money but lewis was still the man.

By the time a rematch was made back then Lewis wouldn't have been much better off.....I mean we all saw Vitali walk through Johnson, Sanders, and Williams.

No offense to Lewis but his days were numbered at the top which is why he retired....it was a changing of the guard fight.

That fight was one for the ages....if Vitali didn't get cut it would have been even better though

You can't show any disrepect for either fighter after that bout.
A great great fight for both guys!
Most people do feel that if anything it takes away from Vitali's axccomplishments in this fight (in spite of it being a loss) to talk this way now.
I think this fight did more for Vitali's career than any other.
It's part of the nature of the sport that guys are different ages and you can't keep a guy around for ever while you peak .
Get over it,build on it. Go on and create your own legacy.
He can do it. Will he?

I remember when some vit fan was posting the other week how lennox was haunted by him and his brother. I put him right and now his own man is by constantly whining on about it.

    Get over it vit FFS

As I have posted before this kind of thing happens in boxing. A fighter feels he got the short end of the stick and has a grudge vs another fighter.

Vitali wants his rematch that he was promised but if he doesn't get it, it will not keep him from achieving greatness. Why can't people understand that? He has a rival, Lennox Lewis a guy who FOR YEARS went without a rival.....Tyson had his Bruno's and Rudduck's and Bowe and Holyfield had each other but Lewis never had his rival until Vitali came along. Great fighters need each other like that...and no one has stepped out of the shaddows to give Vitali a new rivalry...... which is why he is so vocal about fighting Lennox Lewis again

That's fine and all. But when is he going to realize that Lewis ain't coming back? His crying and bitching about a fight that he didn't win is fucking annoying.

....I already posted an answer to that dude.

Tommy Hearns just called out Ray Leonard this past year.....fighters carry grudges and they talk about them a lot those things drive fighters in training and so on.

If you're tired of hearing about it, don't listen to it, if you're tired of reading it then stop.

It's one thing if Lewis were still fighting. Than I guess it's understandable. But he's not. He's retired. He sounds like a obsessed female stalker as much as he mentions Lewis.

What the fuck do they got to do with it? Not a damn thing. I got no problem with Vitali coming back and getting a title shot before Peter. He retired with the belt so he should be allowed to fight for it. But he should fight the fighter he was suppose to fight when he retired/quit/punked out (whatever you want call it). Hasim Rahman. Call it an interim title match. If you want. And let the winner fight Oleg. Let Peter wait.

Hearns can't even form coherent sentences anymore. C'mon, Lyle. Klit was going to get dropped in a fight with a fat and out-of-shape Lewis. Merchant may have said it best when he commented that Klit may have won the drama end of the fight. You have to wonder what a prepared Lewis would have done to him. Johnson, Sanders, Williams... Sanders was a fat bum when he fought big Klit sister and still took all his best shots. I'm so fed-up with Klitheads making excuses and hanging on the Lewis fight like it's some form of vindication for Vitali. It just showed that he could take a good punch (unlike his little sister) and can't close the deal when the competition steps up. As for Johnson and Williams... where are they now?
Does Vitali really think that he can pull a 40+ year old champion with a secure legacy out of retirement because he couldn't get the job done the first time around?
