Here's how this statement should be looked at...in two or three parts...it's true & false...& then it's just Floyd.

#1: No. Hatton is not that big in America & he has been a bit of a let down to American boxing fans...not living up to all the massive hype.

Who is big in america apart from yanks & mexicans?

Oscar didn't sell all those tickets. If Oscar was the sole reason those tickets were being sold then the Mayorga fight would have sold out in 3 hrs aswell. Mayweather was a huge part of the reason that the fight sold out.

And please, nobody went to that fight because of Baldomir. Nobody.

But Floyd going to England and selling more? HA

Mayweather is fighting pay-per-view because he is fighting Oscar. He has a lot of talent, but the general public just don't like to pay to see him fight. This is different to boxers such as Tyson, Trinidad and Oscar.

Mayweather does not have the charisma or the ability to KO that these other fighters have or had.

Although I have to admit that I'm dying to see Meyweather KO, it will be very difficult to see that happening in the near future. And, I agree with you, I see Mayweather winning by UD, although I would prefer to think the opposite way.

And, Hatton... Does not have any chances with Floyd.

Hey Floyd, I think the fact that your fight sold out in 3 hours might have something to do with some guy named Oscar....
Exactly. He's so full of crap it's ridiculous.

He still sold 11,000 tickets that fight, and people boo'ed because they were ignorant blood and guts fighting fans.

OH... Well if noone in the UK had heard of him he must be wrong, he couldn't be the top dog... Since that is where he fights right, inthe UK? That's where he's from, and that's where all the biggest boxing events are held, so if your friends on the UK forums hadn't heard of him that just seals it.

and who has he beat to get there? De la Hoya, Mosely, Robinson, Leonard, LaMatta, Hopkins, Wright, Pep, Barerra, Morrales, Pacquiao, and so on.....he hasn't touched anyone CLOSE to their talents and yet he places himself as "The best ever"....he's a punk and has only impressed me by how long he was able to avoid fighting good fighters

Funny how when you see things over again you see it differently.
Larry (who i don't particularly like) was very polite, subtle, and diplomatic. A fair question. Now maybe Floyd is tired etc after the fight but he sounds like a punk here.

Now....RE PBF vs Hatton? not even close.. Floyd dances and makes Hatton look horrible. wins a decision . MAYBE Hatton wins 2 rounds.maybe none.
He will look worse than Gatti by far.

    hey now theres a fight!

People forget the Mayweather v Sharmba fight, there was hardly anyone there, and the hall was tiny.

Yeah, it was in Portland, Oregon.. Not exactly a fight city, and noone expected a good fight.. Really not too indicative of anything, although for what it's worth Floyd make 6 million for that fight I remember the announcer saying.. Just worth pointing out since people made such a huge deal of his turning down 8 to fight Margarito.. I guess alot of Brits like to get so caught up in the fact that Hatton has more loyal fans, and he can sell alot of tickets fighting just about anybody... But, it's a shame, since that's exactly what he seems content on doing.
