I didn't mean now retirement is where they belong. In their pomp they would beat most of the current crop of plodders

Mason suffered bad eye troubles then hit Mr Cocaine very hard some years back.
Bruno in some way needs to get back into the Fight Game,it's all he knows at the end of the day and i reckon he still has a few Balboa moments left in him
Stranger things have happened to older fighters than he is now in Boxing History and Bruno is still in superb shape .

I couldnt see Big Frank getting too much success against Holyfield. He only just managed to make the 12 rounds vs Mcall and I reckon Evander would have stopped him late.

For me Franks main problem was always psychological, he was obviously scared of Tyson and IMO would have done much better if he hadnt been. If he had used his jab better and just stuck to some kind of game plan it would have at least gone another 3/4 rounds, and with franks massive punch you never know, actually naa he would always have got sparked by Mike . When Frank fought Lennox lewis he had no fear all and gave a good showing of himself, up until being stopped at least . Funnily enough I watched Lewis Bruno Yesterday and Frank was winning the fight until Lennox went ape sh*t and started swinging like a man possesed.

And I think the reason people like Frank is just because he is such a decent/nice bloke. Pretty funny as well and was usually the under dog.

I think Bruno Holyfield would have been a great fight....One that I would have said was even money.....Frank was a good fighter who seemed to have trouble with those guys of big power....He was ok until he got to much of it....EG Tyson overwhelmed him with constant power...Lewis right was too much.....He was doing damn good against Lennox until then.....Him and Evander would have put on a great match

Sounds like Bruno vs Briggs in their primes could have been a good fight. Or Bruno vs Morrison.

The fights against Tyson (especially the second) were a sham - he was a scared man!!

That sums up Bruno nicely. I always liked Bruno but he always struggled and got found out down the stretch against the top tier...

He was at camp in Ashby, one day he was going to Derby shopping Scrap come with me, okay I was doing F A. The next 3 hours were Badlam, wherever he went 200 people followed him, thinking back I bet there was a bit of shoplifting that day it was frantic. I asked him if it was always like that he said all the time he must have done 500 autographs As I said next time you want company invite somebody else I couldnt handle it. He didnt mind one bit just kept smiling.
