Sorry Adam, I forgot that the real purists (all with the real boxing knowledge as you) want boring fights and us spring chickens only goes after the primitive KO fights. I will spend my 50 on another fight - Enjoy your fight :-D -- even it is not so highly purist as yours....I will spend my money on Kessler vs. Andrade :-D
If you're a boxing fan there's nothing boring about watching to tactilely brilliant fighters who know the game inside out boxing is there?

Depends which parts of boxing you find interesting... if it's only when leather hits a rib or a skull then you're missing out...
To be honest, I decided years ago, that I will never put my money in a criminal's pocket as Hopkins. His entire regime he has tried to put his forehead on his opponents ditto to make damage. Hopkins is a girl and should fight an European top fighter instead of fighting falling stars of the US - Hopkins could beat DLH, Tito, Tarver but so could Sturm - Could Hopkins beat Kessler and Calzaghe? I am very sure that he would get a boxing lesson as DLH got against Sturm but Hopkins has NO desire to fight prime fighters. He is F****** low class and a former criminal....
    umm no. just no
no for all the reasons your neglecting to mention in the paragraph of fanboyism that you tried to pass off as a post.
Fair, and your opinion.....but why is Hopkins not fighting Kessler and Calzaghe? Why was Hopkins always fighting at home while Monson was always fighting abroad?....

I don't really respect B Hop for taking this fight as much as some do,I mean it was not too long ago that Winky as fighting at 154!!!It#s not as if Winky is a massive guy is it?B Hop should have stayed retired,I mean what was all that talk of him keeping promises for his mother, retiring etc?

Im in agreement there, it just seems a bit silly to put off retirement just to bring Winky way beyond his weight class. 160lbs was Winky's limit as far as I was concerned. I think Hopkins will pull off the win, but I really want him to stop before he goes too far with this career extension...

And a figh with Taylor makes more sense for either of them than a fight with each other. I just don't understand B Hop's thinking, and even if he wins, what will it add to his legacy...it'll fuel the critics who say his biggest wins have come against smaller guys.He should have retired after the Tarver fight.

Or why not have Hopkins have called out Jermaine Taylor for a fight at super middleweight? A bigger risk IMO, but a more relevant fight. Hopkins has no real direction at this point. When he fights Winky it will have been after a bit of a layoff and at 42, where on earth does he think he's headed? Hopkins is confusing me at the moment...

Agreed. I don't see the rational,it's not like it's going to be a massive fight,I'd certainly like to see the numbers it does and I don't see what B Hop gains from it or indeed Winky. By moving up to 170,what is he going to do after the fight? Lose allllll that weight and come back down again?History has shown us that is not a good move especially for a guy of his age.Like I said,a fight with JT would have been more beneficial to them both.

I think Winky will do just enough to win the fight in the later rds......

I'm gonna say UD for Winky by 3 rds. or so...... IMO it will be a snooze fest...

I actually think its a very interesting fight, its just a fight that has little real relevance. Where does either fighter go from here? Exactly...

I agree, yes they are 2 tactical technical fighters, and in that aspect it will be a great fight but I mean what does that mean? And Winky should not be fighting at 170. Will this fight be $50? No FWOCKING WAY would I say that much!!
