After a tough opening stanza Calzaghe begins to stick and move using quick handspeed and effective footwork. A frustrated McLennan loses by decision...
Have you seen Gerald fight? He was among the hardest hitters in the middleweight divisions ever along with Nigel Benn, Julian Jackson, and Roy Jones Jr. He was better technically than Joe Calzaghe, and just as fast. Granted he didn't throw the big combinations, but he threw more powerful ones.

Actually G-Man would have had an excellent chance of KOing Calzaghe because he's easily drawn into a fight.
Thats the thing with hypothetical fights. Its all guess work on your own part and youve no real idea as to what exactly each boxer will implement as a game plan or where that said game plan might go out the window. It usually rests withthe fighter you support backed up with x+y argument. Tricky!!
Of course, it's just a fun thing for fans to speculate over

Joe comes out fast trying prove a point. His speed allows him to win the first round pretty easily. The second round starts in similar fashion. Joe's hand speed starts to bother Gerald. Joe sees Gerald frustration and decides to press the issue. It's at that moment when Joe's runs right into Gerald's right hand. Flush on the jaw. And goes to sleep. 10 count not needed.

Its a hypothetical possibility, VD. And you even gave Calzaghe the first round. Respect

I've never denied Calzaghe's skills. Or said he wasn't a good fighter. Just that he's overrated. Hasn't fought any big names. Seems to be scared to death of Kessler. And that his title defenses don't mean shit. That's it.

no contest, the G-MAN would have ko'd joe in under 4 rounds.............................but the fight would never get sifned as joe doesn't take these kind off dangerous fights

One thign that really impressed me about Calzaghe was his start to the lacy fight, he was jabbing moving, in and out; it wasn't really untill he had lacy in all sorts of shit that he would let him self be in place for a big hit. I don't think gerland would of been able to knock joe out with one punch, hurt him yes, put him down he had the power, but i think if he got the big punch pff, it would put calzaghe back to boxing. Thats why i see calzaghe winning this fight should it happen.

He does sound nice there, and his points are kind of correct. I too would love to see a Kessler fight and there is no reason for it not to happen.
